The best investment we made in our kids! Not only do we as parents feel safe with our kids around the water the kids have confidence they can swim and have fun! So I’m circling back to this review a year later! We still LOVE swim gym! Ms. Jamie has been the best thing for my kids. My daughter loves swimming and has not only gone from a 1 year old learning to save herself to a confident 4 year old doing strokes and flip turns. If you are in the area swim gym is the #1 place to teach your kids to swim!

One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is aquatic confidence! We are forever grateful to have enrolled our son at Swim Gym of Lakewood Ranch. Mrs. Anita is an incredible educator and has built a strong and passionate team of instructors in a warm and caring environment. Anita worked one-on-one, everyday, with our son and provided him with truly invaluable water safety skills. In 7 weeks, he has made amazing progress, and is able to float and swim under water independently (at 1 year old). Living in Florida, we are confident this was the BEST decision and investment we made for our child’s safety. We highly recommend that you do the same! Thank you Mrs. Anita! We enrolled our almost 3 year old in ISR here and in 6 weeks he went from only using a puddle jumper, to being able to independently swim! We could not be more happy with Anita and this swim school. The instructors truly care about the students and parents and ensure they work with each child’s personality and make each lesson fun! Like others, we originally were worried that 10 minutes a day seemed short, but the kids work extremely hard during those 10 minutes and the consistency of practicing each day was truly worth it. While we do not have a personal experience with other gyms, we have seen friends who enroll children in 1x per week courses which do not yield the same safety results, take years instead of weeks, and do not allow the 1:1 relationship that Swim Gym has. While we have “graduated” from ISR, we will be back soon to continue maintenance classes and improve swim techniques as he grows.

Very happy with our experience at Swim Gym! Ms. Jamie was very patient and a great teacher! She met our son where he was at and helped him grow. Would definitely enroll my daughter in classes!

We’ve been attending the Swim Gym for nearly six years now. We first started taking ISR lessons when my oldest daughter was six months old. She still asks to attend stroke lessons when offered. My middle child also attended at six months old and begs me to take her back at four years old. She loves the refresher courses and stroke lessons that Jamie offers. She makes it fun and challenging. My youngest just turned one year old and completed ISR when she was six months old as well. Since then, we’ve been taking refresher courses twice a week. Since she knows how to float, Jamie will start another six week program where she will learn the swim-float-swim sequence. She’s one year old and will know how to swim! It’s unbelievable to me! I can’t recommend the Swim Gym enough!! The confidence they’ve given to my children is immeasurable and my anxiety around water with my kids has decreased significantly. It is completely worth signing up for!

We had such a wonderful experience! I was initially hesitant to enroll my LO due to motor delays and weakness. A good friend encouraged me and I am so thankful that I committed. Anita was absolutely WONDERFUL with her. I was astonished at the rapid progress and skills she acquired in just the first 4-6 weeks. Anita was extremely helpful in educating me on the strategies and techniques she was using with her and also how to carry over skills and safe habits in other environments. She is such a good swimmer now and pool time is so much fun! My family cannot recommend this place enough. We are forever grateful for such an awesome instructor and amazing experience!

The Swim Gym of Lakewood Ranch is such an awesome place. I recommend this swim gym with the highest praise. I brought my two sons there; one son who was just about to turn three and the other 16 months old and going through ISR for the first time. They both had Anita as their teacher. She was amazing and patient with both of them. (My 17month old never stopped crying during his lessons in the entire 6 weeks) I tried to attach videos, but google won't let me. I attached a picture of each of them swimming. Such an awesome skill for them to have at this age. I was worried about the drive to get there, but it is literally right off the freeway on 70. It is so easy to get in and out of, so I had no issues making our lessons and then getting to work. I chose to go first thing in the morning to make it work for my husband and I, since we both work full time. Anita was so great about being on time, and always flexible if I needed a certain day to change. This place is worth every penny of the skills Anita has taught my boys!

We had such a great experience at the Swim Gym! Our youngest son would watch his older brothers swim all around the pool, but clung to the side whenever we tried to encourage him to swim. Ms. Anita had a very patient yet persistent approach in helping him overcome his fear of the “deep end” and within a matter of weeks, he was confidently jumping into the pool and swimming around with his brothers!
