If you want your child to learn to float, survive and end up swimming, then this is the place you should send them. Their methods work, and although sometimes (very seldomly) nerve wracking it works and worth the money. Coming from a swimming background myself, I know the skills they teach are the way you should teach children. Judy the owner, over 39 years ago taught Cindy, the woman who taught me to swim by these same methods at an infant age: it works. I started sending my son here when he was 2.5 years old and we continue to do the weekly group sessions to maintain his skills.
Having our 2yo at SFS has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. All of the instructors are so kind and patient but firm and they get it done! I do wish they took older children because I’d love to have my 6yo there- I am regretting not having him there as an infant.
I LOVE Swim Float Swim. I cannot express how as a mother of two toddlers how much safer I feel going around water with my two wild boys. Judy has created such an intelligent process to challenge and teach children to evoke a strength that is innately built within them to survive. While it was tough to watch as a mother at times, I am forever grateful my children learned to challenge themselves, struggle a bit, and then ultimately be confident in water. All the staff, from owner, to front desk, to coaches are kind and make parents and children feel at home.
Swim float swim is one of the best things you can do for your child. Not only do you get peace of mind knowing your child has the ability to save their own life in water. But you also have a child that gets to enjoy the water instead of developing a fear to it. My sons favorite thing to do is go to our country club and swim.
As a former floater of Judy’s myself lessons have really come full circle with my own child 31 years later. My son has now completed the first round of infant survival by 8 months and the second one by 18 months.
Survival swimming lessons can be life saving, but they are guaranteed to be tough on a parent.
When we took my 9 month old for his private lessons, we were very apprehensive, but Judy and team earned our trust. From the first lesson, we could see there was thought and care behind every action. The kiddo might not enjoy the lessons themselves at times, but that is not the goal - survival is. He is already very confident in the water with a strong foundation for future swimming skills, and he loves going to the pool with me and other family members outside of lessons.
Judy, thank you so much for helping our little floater expand his swimming horizons!
Judy and her staff are wonderful! As tough as these lessons can be in the beginning they are an absolute necessity with little ones. Swimming is a life skill, your children are exposed to water ALL THE TIME, even if you don’t take them swimming or do other water activities think of how many baths young children take. I’m telling you, these skills taught by the professionals at swim float swim could save your child’s life one day. The lessons are unbelievably rewarding and both of my children have learned to swim and enjoy it in a VERY short amount of time. Thank you Judy and all of your staff also!
Both of my kids now 5 and almost 4 have been at swim float swim since they were 6 months old. We have had nothing but an amazing experience with swim float swim! The instructors have all been amazing. And truly care about what they are teaching. Both kids are confident in the water but also know what they are capable of, and the confidence and piece of mind I have with them around the water is priceless. I will always recommend anyone to put their kids in classes.
Judy and her student Ashley were THE KINDEST, MOST LOVING guides in teaching my 9 month old grandson to float! The space is well designed to invite the youngest students to explore and enjoy. The support of staff and watchful eyes of the instructors soon put us all at ease turning over our precious child for the just-long-enough lessons. And now we are continuing with the next level and learning more ways to support our little “fish”. He LOVES the water. Thank you for providing this opportunity for our community!!
So many good things to say about this place. We signed up for a free first timer lesson and fell in love with the environment and the coaches. Both my kiddos along with myself are attending different classes and are all learning so much and have been
