Sweet Cane Inn - Indoor lodging in Natchitoches - 926 Washington St, USA

I stayed here for 1 night as our final destination before returning back to the UK after a US road trip and we had an excellent stay. ||The B&B is a period type building and is furnished as such. It is well kept and very clean. It is aesthetically beautiful throughout. ||The rooms are large, spacious and cosy. There is lots of cute little extras that even mainstream hotels don’t provide, such as soft drinks in the room fridge, chocolates on the bed, then daily freshly baked cookies and win provided in the communal area. ||The innkeeper was about at breakfast and she was lovely. The breakfast itself was plentiful and all homemade. ||The location of the B&B was about a 2 minute walk to the main ‘Downtown’ area, which had ample choice of bars and restaurants. It’s just on the waterfront too and it’s a lovely French style town to walk around.||If I was to be picky, our room was on the road side and with the thin walls, it was occasionally loud with passing traffic and the blinds aren’t the best, so the room fills with daylight early on, so is a natural/ early wake up call.||Overall we had a lovely stay. Highly recommended and we’d happily stay again.

With the current rates/prices of hotels/inns. This gem of a place was definitely worth the try. The room we stayed in was the Oleander - this room offers a king-sized bed, a claw foot tub, a separate shower, a mini fridge that had free beverages (2 bottled Water and 6 cans of soda). And of course, other amenities. I gave the area a 4 star because of parking. The entry point/parking area can be challenging to maneuver in but doable. On the day of arrival, located at the door entrance, you will find envelopes with guest last names on them. You just have to find yours and open - ours had our room keys and a printed sheet with instructions and notes for guests.

Ce n’est en rien un bnb. C’est une belle maison tenue par un investisseur. Nous sommes arrivés il n’y avait personne juste notre enveloppe accrochée dehors avec un numéro de tel à joindre, aucun humain . : Harmony que nous avons appelée au numéro donné et injoignable je suis donc repassée par numéro de l’hôtel 1h après et lorsqu’elle nous a rappelée (je parle couramment anglais) elle a raccroché en disant : je ne comprends rien. Nous avions des tasses dans la chambre mais pas de café, nous avons désespérément cherché un tire bouchon pas trouvé, aucun conseil de restaurant aucun plan aucune explication livres à nous mêmes ||Air conditionné impossible à régler même éteinte, grosse ventilation froide |Sinon jolie mauson et petit frigo avec softs eau sprite coca ||Le lendemain matin au petit dej nous avons aperçu la fameuse Harmony qui a enfin montré le bout de son nez et un simple bonjour en sortant la tête de sa cuisine et est repartie. Nous avons rencontré aussi un autre couple de français qui a eu la même réaction que nous et nous avons tous les 4, laisse nos clés dans un vide poche, sans voir personne pour notre départ . Deux couples ont pris de quoi petit déjeuner dans leur chambre |Dommage maison pas mal mais aucune chaleur humaine et aucune esprit bnb comme nous avons pu l’avoir dans d’autres endroits. C’est une maison fantôme genre formule 1 ou vous avez un clé ou un code et vous êtes indépendants pour le coup mais en plus joli |Chambre simple propre mais 3eme étage avec 4 valises galère car hyper étroit et côté route bruyant car très passant ||Je vais souvent en bnb j’en ai fait 4 dans ce genre de maison pendant mon séjour.au top convivialité C’est la grosse déception du voyage

Ce fût bizarre ce séjour. Aucun contact humain. Personne ne vous parle, aucune consigne ni explication.. Pour un "étranger", je ne conseille pas du tout. Sinon la demeure est très belle même si la climatisation est très froide.

The entire experience was 5 Stars. This beautiful house is in the heart of historic Natchitoches. The house and our room were beautifully furnished and breakfast was superb. The icing on the cake/cherry on top was our Innkeeper Kimberly. Professional, cheerful, helpful, and a great cook. I highly recommend The Sweet Cane Inn to anyone who wants to get away for a few days. This is not a negative comment; you just need to be aware of this - the rooms are on the second and third floor. Since this is a beautifully restored historic home, there is no elevator. Keep this in mind when you are choosing a room. Again, 5 Stars, and I would book this B and B again in a heartbeat.

We stayed in the Oleander Room, the Master suite of the original owners. It was a beautiful space with seating, large bathroom, and a super comfortable bed. The Inn in itself is a quaint little space to recharge and enjoy the history. This B&B has so much rich history that the Inn Keeper is well versed in. Breakfast this morning was stuffed crepes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, Community Coffee, and juices. There was also cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit available. |You can’t go wrong with a stay here, we will definitely be back.

Very beautiful home and a very nice place to stay. We were greeted warmly and quickly welcomed in with a little surprise from the inn keeper. Kimberly the inn keeper was amazing. The breakfast was phenomenal an overall wonderful place to stay!
