Beautiful! After a morning at the Natural History Museum we walked over here. It was a cloudy rainy day so we didn’t stay for too long. The benches around the fountain are great to take a break from all the walking or to sit & read a book and enjoy the view.

I used to go to this fountain and splash around in the water as a kid, but it's lovely to sit on one of the benches on a sunny day and enjoy the nice weather! Walking distance from so many things, it's the perfect place to catch your breath and enjoy the scenery in between places!

This is another city landmark and is a very nice fountain. I like the gravel walkway around it. However the park view some maintenance and upkeep. The benches are rusty and the paint is filling. The area is also littered with cigarette butts and used balloons. The fountain is very nice and I love the sound of the water. And there is a homeless issue has all of the city has. It is very beautiful here but watching a homeless dude take a bath in the fountain is a turn off. Not to mention the banana hammock he is wearing.

Such a beautiful fountains in the center of the city. It sits halfway between City Hall and the Art Museum. It's a great place to sit and relax, but getting in and enjoying the fountain is highly encouraged. In the summer, you'll see plenty of children and dogs having an absolute blast. Fun fact time! The fountain was designed by Alexander Stirling Calder. His father Alexander Milne Calder designed the statue of William Penn that sits atop City Hall. His son and famed sculptor Alexander Calder has a mobile in the Art Museum titled "Ghosts". The three landmarks are colloquially known as "The father, the son and the holy ghost"

An iconic Philly destination year-round, but especially nice in spring, when the tulips and Tribute trees start blooming. The fountain features one of the 3-generations of Calder sculptures that grace the Ben Franklin Parkway. You can track from Calder senior's Billy Penn atop City Hall to Alexander Calder's Ghost mobile at the Art Museum. Logan Square is a go-to spot to view Philly fireworks, parades and concerts. It is also a popular gathering place for major protests.

When i visited Philadelphia for the 1st time, this was one of the 1st places my spouse took me. It was a summer day/nite. It was gorgeous! Every other year i visit the place. Brings me back great memories when i was dating my spouse ( married him 😁). New update: we came to center city and this was a location i was looking forward, was disappointed that it was not fully operational. Hope this will b fixed and running again.

Formally named Logan Square Logan Circle - this is an important landmark in the Parkway Museum District. From a pasture to burial grounds with public hangings and a gallows as late as 1823, the city made improvements: “moving graves and planting trees”. The centerpiece of this work is Swann Memorial Fountain - bronze sculptures by Alexander Stirling Calder - erected July 1924, surrounded by formal flower beds and accessible to the public. Swann Memorial Fountain construction was directed by The Philadelphia Fountain Society under the bequest of Maria E. Swann in memory of her husband, Wilson Cary Swann. US Sanitary Commission Great Central Fair was held at Logan Square in June 1864. The event raised over a million dollars to provide relief to soldiers and their families. It also marks the only occasion of President Abraham Lincoln’s official Philadelphia appearance.

What a great landmark in such an historical city. The whole thing is quite large! Wife and I were just walking around and visiting different landmarks. I would highly recommend to check it out for a few mins, it is incredible what we as a race can make.
