Sushi Village - Featured Reviews (341)
We’ve read the positive reviews about sushi village, and have wanted to try it for AYCE, but decided to order takeout for dinner this past Sunday first and we are glad that we did. Overall, we found the food quite underwhelming. My husband and I split the sushi for two, and ordered seaweed salad and shrimp/vegetable tempura for our son’s dinner, and beef negimaki to share as an appetizer. The seaweed salad is the same as what you get at any restaurant, and the tempura was good, although I only tried the vegetables. The beef negimaki was bland. The sushi was disappointing overall. The spicy tuna roll had no flavor, and the “amazing roll” is incorrectly named. It’s stuffed with more filler items than fish and was topped with mango and god awful spicy mayo. The nigiri was slightly better although the rice was bland, and some of the fish cuts were quite thick. The calamari pieces were chewy and hard and inedible. We are big sushi fans and unfortunately have been spoiled by better quality sushi so this was a miss for us.
One of the only all-you-can-eat sushi places around. We try to go here at least once a month because it is so delicious! The food is amazing, the plating always looks so nice, and always good service!
TLDR: Friendly Staff, Good Sushi. Our party opted for the all you can eat option. It was 35 bucks a person; a price that was a little steep in my opinion, compared to AYCE places elsewhere, including in New York City, but given the location I guessed there was a reason for the 5-8 dollar step-up. The waitstaff were friendly and frequently came by to check up on us and offer more AYCE sheets. The sake, according to the others, was a little watery and didn’t taste quite great. Otherwise, the kitchen entrees, sushi, and sashimi were great. We ordered a variety of rolls, fish, and appetizers, more than I can remember. I do recommend the miso soup and spring rolls, but the mushroom soup, although tasty, was quite salty. The rolls were not bad. I found that some of the ingredients in the descriptions for the rolls were missing from the actual rolls, although these were pretty minor details, such as a little sprinkle of tobiko or drizzle of sauce. The sashimi was great. The staff honored our requests for multiple pieces at a time. Fresh, tasty, and worth the increase in price compared to other AYCE places. We were absolutely full by the end of our meal. One thing I will mention is the lack of a time limit, which the staff seemed to advertise, telling us to take our time with eating. I’ll also mention that some types of fish (e.g. yellowtail) were only available in sushi or roll form, not in sashimi. To finish it all off, the ice cream was great. Overall, was a great meal and would recommend to anyone looking for fresh sushi.
The hostess spent a lot of time explaining about the all you can eat option, so we decided to do it. The different options were good, the food was ok. The hostess said if you don't eat all your food you will have to pay for it. On top of the 2 all you can eat orders we already ordered. Whatever we didn't eat. They charged us an additional 20 dollars. I asked how did you come up with 20 dollars. She said "we charge you from the regular menu" so if you have a couple of pieces of sushi left.. they will charge you for the entire roll. I never heard of this before but I didn't want to argue. I will never come back again. The math wasn't mathin,,🧐
Don't get the all you can eat special any little bit you don't eat they'll charge you . On top of that the special is already 35 per person. We left 4 pieces of sushi they charged us an extra 20 dollars . Food was fresh ill give them that.
Stopped in around nine pm. Wow! Staff was excellent. The food was better!!! Amazing flavor and the presentation was on point. Not expecting this. Not expensive at all. Highly recommend!
I've been here multiple times, and will continue to come back. Amazing food and excellent service, for a fair price. For such a small shop, they easily surpass their larger competitors. We chose the all you can eat option this time around! We had never had any of the rolls we chose, and they were all delicious!
Best all you can eat sushi place in the neighborhood! Our waitress Sophia was nice and welcoming. She made me the best iced green tea I’ve ever had.
A hidden Jewel. After being open for two years, the restaurantâs cleanliness is exemplary. The fish is fresh, the avocados are always ripe, the rice is the perfect temperature, and the artful presentation has a sense of pride. All of the simplest e
