Great service and friendly staff. I really appreciated that the owner chose some excellent rolls for me to try. If I'm ever back in the area I will be back. I highly recommend stopping in and giving it a try.

Miso hungry! Stopped off in Calistoga for a little sushi. The miso soup was very nice. The sushi was fresh and tasty. My wife had the ramen and wasn’t very happy, the broth was not very tasty and the meat had a funky flavor. Having said that the waitress was very good about it, and it was dealt with in a professional manner.

After years of being away since 2020, I returned to an expanded menu with the same excellent quality. So grateful they’re still there. It’s hard to keep good help in a resort town, but the food was awesome. This is a Japanese food dining experience, not just great sushi. I love the yam noodle dish!

The plating was lovely, the food was okay. Inside the restaurant however is a faint tinge of urine. My friend and I chose to ignore it because we were extremely hungry, the service was very slow but I don't know maybe there were take out orders and we just weren't seeing anyone come get them. My soup spoon had lipstick on it so I set it aside on the table and tried to drink the bowl without a spoon but even the bowl had a strange after taste. The waitress didn't seem to care that I put the spoon off to the side with the bright red lipstick facing up and was usually gone before I could mention it, rarely ever to return again. I'm pretty sure if I did say anything I would have just received the same spoon with it wiped off. I don't know if I went when the B team was scheduled but the rice was very chewy for me and the flavors somewhat lacked so I wasn't entirely impressed. Over-all it isn't a bad spot but if you're a seasoned sushi consumer.. maybe go somewhere else

The taste is average, the service attitude is not good, three people gave two glasses of water, we were still chatting, the waiter kept coming to take our dishes away, and before we wanted to leave, the waiter handed us the check! Very bad feeling, will never go again!

Sushi Mambo disappoints on multiple fronts. The excruciating wait times are nothing short of infuriating, turning what should be a pleasant dining experience into a test of patience. I had to wait 1 hour for uncooked noodles! The uncooked noodles served are a culinary misstep, a blatant disregard for basic cooking standards. However, what truly sets this establishment apart is its abysmal service. The staff's incompetence and lack of attentiveness transform what could be a redeemable meal into an exercise in frustration. Sushi Mambo needs a serious overhaul to salvage any semblance of a positive dining reputation.

Best sushi in the world hands down. I’ve been eating here 20 years! The food is made with love. Family owned restaurant. Complwtwly unique menu. 11/10 recommend.
