Sushi Freak Las Cruces Telshor - Japanese restaurant in Las Cruces - 2808 N Telshor Blvd Suite 2, USA

Ordered food to be picked up, and instead of having my food ready, we had to stand there and wait over 25 minutes for them to finish preparing it. People were ordering and picking up their food faster than I was who ordered ahead. They were also training somebody, and rather than realizing they were behind and getting to my order, they continued to go slowly training somebody.

Fantastic place! We came in exhausted after a long travel day and with four kids who were starving. The place was very clean and well decorated, the three employees on duty were super kind to me and not at all irritated by my big order. They were so fast and efficient that we were in and out of there in 20 min! Sushi was great, everyone gobbled up their dinner with nothing left. Thank you to the amazing staff!!! Also they gave us trainers for the chopsticks for the kids, that is so thoughtful!!!

Staff was extremely friendly and patient, this was my first experience and they helped me pick out these rolls. They were picked perfectly and presented beautifully. I will be returning soon, hungry for more :-)

Afternoon team isn't friendly like the morning team. There was a hair from the read haired girl in the food then we noticed it was all on hanging over her face. Then they gave us a broken lid we didn't use. Sorry but no. I think we'll go to the other location or mornings only.

Place is completely empty. Miso soup isn't tasty. Dragon roll toppings were left inside the serving foil and thrown away. The roll costs almost $15!! 20 FL oz bottle of Pepsi costs as much as a 2 ltr bottle! They have zero chopsticks. Wasabi isn't supposed to be BLUE. skimpy serving of ginger. The serving style of the soy sauce is WORSE. None of it is worth the cost or experience. If they don't respect the cuisine, they can stop advertising their sushi burrito.

Staff is genuinely nice. Otherwise, majorly overpriced for the quantity/quality. My bowl’s yellowtail portion was tiny and it was *warm* and fishy — not what you’d expect from raw sushi. The burrito was very thin. I’d say the meals are about an $8 value, but priced at $15. Too bad.

Very expensive and zero flavor. They seemed to have skipped the rice wine vinegar in the rice and just cooked plain white rice. It was over $60 for lunch for me and a child, but was the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The staff was very nice and friendly though.

I got the "build your own" poke bowl. My friend and I agreed that it's not authentic, but is very good in its own way. It's not what you'd find in Japan or Hawaii, but pretty fresh and tasty! It's definitely better than most places serving poke in NM. I would recommend this location, and will be back. Customer service was good. The customization aspect makes it a good choice if you have someone in your party with dietary restrictions. The bowls could easily be made vegan or gluten free. The bowls are stuffed and very filling!! This location takes card or cash, and only has to-go or curbside at the moment.
