Overall: A boutique hotel with a retro theme at a great location. Most staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed at this property for 5d/4n.||Room: The room is clean and we like the decor and the retro theme. However, the size of the room is small especially the bathroom area. The counter space in the bathroom is very limited and lighting is not enough. So not good if you need space and lighting to do make up and hair.||Amenities: Parking is complimentary but is offsite. The lot is located at Hyatt hotel which is just a few minutes walk away. There is an all-day water station (filtered) for guests to use which we like it. There is a swimming pool at the property right in the center of the property but we didn’t use. The hotel does not offer breakfast in the morning. The property has a restaurant and it has live singing/music performance on a daily basis.||Conclusion: It is a unique hotel with central location. We will stay there again.
Love this place!! We first discovered the hotel a few years ago when we had dinner at Mahina & Suns. I'm so happy we had a chance to come back and stay at the Surfjack. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was great! - We booked the one bedroom suite and it was very spacious. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom amenities were great, and the a/c worked well. We were facing the pool and the sound carried, but it didn't bother us too much. It was fun to have a balcony and enjoy the sun. The pool was refreshing and was well used by my family :). It was in a good location in Waikiki, out of the busy part of the city, but a close enough walk to mostly everything. The best part was all the dogs staying at the hotel. It's very dog friendly!! I would definitely stay there again.
Such a cute place, loved the vibe and all the furry friends. Was the perfect place for our mother daughter trip. Walking distance to so much! Shops, restaurants, Ocean, tattoo shops. Honestly a great location as long as you don’t mind getting your steps in. Loved the little touches too. Filtered water, sunscreen dispenser, super cheap parking and even a loner canvas bag to take to the beach.
Surfjack is an excellent hotel. Very convenient and Central located in Waikiki area. Shopping and food all around. Staff is super friendly. Parking is off site at Hyatt concentric Center for $10 a day with validation from the hotel; the walk to the parking is about 5 minutes. There is free SPF 30 mineral sunblock, and coffee in the morning. Will book and stay here again.
A large group of us rented two, two-bedroom suites. We had plenty of space in the cute rooms and enjoyed the pool and yummy cocktails from Mahina & Sun's. We ran out of towels/forgot toothbrushes/etc., but the people who work there were so gracious and brought us whatever we needed. Everyone we interacted with at the hotel was super kind and very willing to help with whatever you needed. The coffee at ARVO is also a bonus! All in all we had a lovely weekend celebrating our friend--loved it!
Super friendly staff. Even the guests seemed more friendly and laid back than at the bigger, busier hotels. Cozy little hotel with a great pool. Laid back and relaxing. Great restaurant and bar. Also enjoyed the on site coffee shop. A little dated but that can be forgiven thanks to all the other positives.
A good value for the area of town it’s in. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. Fairly quiet neighborhood. Tastefully decorated. Shower is accessible for people with disabilities. AC and fan in room to keep temperature comfortable. Blackout curtains. We didn’t try the pool but it’s clean and well maintained. Adults only hours 6:00-9:00 PM. We left our pups at home, but it’s extremely dog friendly. No coffee or microwave in room, but it did have a fridge and safe. Complimentary coffee ☕️ and tea 🫖 served downstairs in the morning beginning at 7:00 AM - no breakfast included. Didn’t try the attached restaurant: bar (Marina & Sun’s) - guests get a 15% discount. ARVO is the attached coffee shop - offers 10% off to guests. A half mile walk to the public beach 🏖️ with view of Diamond Head. Corner shops in the neighborhood available for incidental purchases. Shuttle (taxi) to airport can be arranged for $50 each way.

The hotel is very nice and modern. Everything is new and in good condition. The location is very central close to everything. I stayed in the ocean view room for 6 nights. The view is very pretty, and you can see Friday night fireworks from my bedroo
