We are staying here currently in room 331. It's super quiet . Everything was clean . They keep up with cleaning the halls and elevators . Short walk to the beach .. pool is nice . You can see the beach from the back patio which has table and chairs so you can sit outside. Right across the agreed from st johns pass . The air conditioner is super cold. Thats nice for me as I have heat intolerance issues . The bed is super comfortable. I'm very picky about that I can't stand a hard bed . The couch is even extremely comfortable. And it also pulls out. It has an ironing board and dishwasher microwave coffee pot stove and fridge .the only thing I don't really like is the shower . I'm short and the shower head points straight in my face. . The bathroom is a little small. This is a small area so I would suggest only two people book this room . Over all loved it. Sad to be leaving tomorrow .
We’ve been coming to Surf Song for the last 10 years. All of our rooms have always been great and Location is always great, but things have really changed. As of now, service is so-so, amenities are eh, and the room we had this year (239) not great. The balcony in this room, I know is a law suit waiting to happen. The bars are rusted, most to the point of total detachment. So any amount of weight pushes the bar outwards, off the balcony. The water pressure in the shower was literally a trickle. There’s water pressure everywhere else so this condo owner just needs to buy a new shower head. Shuffleboard is gone, which was always so much fun for us- the elevator was TERRIBLE. We took the stairs the entire stay unless we have to take a bunch up to the room. So it takes about 5 min for the elevator to open, even once it’s on your floor. And then another 5 min to open when you’re in it- So you sit in this elevator wondering if it’s going to open or if you should press the help button. Awful, especially for folks with anxiety/claustrophobia. So lots could be fixed. Also, they are raising rates anywhere from $400-$700/week. The hotel, even though on the beach, is not worth the $1600 we spent for the 7 days we were there, let alone $2000-$2700 for a week.
Just returned from surf song. Been vacationing there over the years from 1989. Our room 224 was excellent as expected however and this breaks my heart. The pool and exterior has gone down. Arriving Friday we hopped into the clear pool and enjoying every minute. Saturday we noticed it getting cloudy by Sunday the pool was a disguising. A lady we met took a water sample to have tested. Came back no chlorine, no stabilizer. No chemicals at all. After many calls to the management office controlling the outside property it came down to threats of public health because children/adults swimming could get ear, eye or staf infections. The pool company shows up. Finally on Monday afternoon the company showed up. Their pool tech admitted to my daughter the chlorine ran out Friday and he knew it. When the Tollivers ran surf song, Steve would be there every morning vacuuming and testing. No one vacuumed once while we were there. Now I’m told an independent runs the pool and doesn’t give a hoot about our health or the condition if the pool. On Tuesday we swam and the levels where so high it was burning my eye going under water. ||On top of that the elevator broke down with us inside. Scary with a child. |The shuffle board is taped off needing much repairs and some of the umbrellas need replacing. |The last thing steve or Tim would do is lock up the pool at 9:30. Well let me let you the hollering and party in the pool was annoying after 10:30. This went on till after 11.|There is no outside management onsite, so it’s a free for all. I think the Board of Directors need to reevaluate their decision to remove the Tollivers. Surf sing Ran like a well oiled engine. Now it’s a sinking ship but I hear the Board of directors know (owners) knows people will rent and then find out after they have their places are rented. |I’m really going to have to think hard about booking again. ☹️
I stayed for 5 days in unit# 226. The condo but cute and the location was great! It was right on the beach abs right across the street from John's Pass. I had an issue with the vertical blind in the room and maintenance came in a timely manner. The pool was AMAZING! No hot tub though. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the need was awful! It was hard as a rock and it felt like you were sleeping on a box spring only. Side note, the building in the parking lot marked "office" isn't actually the office. Apparently that's just for show and the actual office was next door in a white house. They need to update the room manual to state that.
Located in walking distance from Johns Pass and the beach ⛱️ ... The room was good. Comfy bed and nice amenities...
First let me say we have been staying here for 10+ years. This used to be a wonderful place to stay. Something has happened in the last couple years. We are currently finishing up our stay for this year and the management has totally ignored this facility. Per the lady in the office…there is NO maintenance person working here. They had borrowed one from another property for a day during our stay. Paint is peeling on the exterior…the walkways etc. have not been swept….the pool has been cleaned once in about 20 days….trash cans overflow….and in the unit we’re renting the toaster works occasionally…the coffee pot is burnt up….and the kitchen faucet barely dribbles water. This will be our last stay here. Surf Song has gone from a beautiful and well kept old Florida style place to a sadly neglected dump.
Loved this condo.. but the step down could hurt someone. It's a bit outdated..I'm not use to such a soft bed so had a back ache every morning for like a hour.. but a great location for condo. Going back next yr but a more updated condo at surf song.. can't wait to go back...
Loved our stay here at the first of December!!! The room was nice and the beach was right off the pool deck. We loved it was across the street from John's Pass, they have restaurants and shopping all within a really short 2 minute walk. We never had to leave in the car, it was really nice.

This is a fun place to listen to live music and feel like youâre on a vacation at a beach. Plenty of Outside seating makes it comfortable for those that want to be near the fun but not part of the crowd inside. The inside is a laughing chatty atmos
Super cute kava bar! Everything was b1g1 when I went - really good deal. Their kava was better than pretty much any other bar Iâve been to as well. Bartender was nice and informative too! Would definitely come back if Iâm ever in the area :)
This was hands down the best restaurant we ate at the whole time we were in Treasure Island. (Including way better than Spinners!) The sushi was so fresh and delicious; I had the Good Friend and Mexican Sunrise rolls. The massamam curry, ginger beef,
Great spot for a bite to eat while on the beach. Music by Boston Bob was good. Sat for a while before heading to the beach. Servers at bar do a great job of ensuring that the wait is not too long. The bacon cheeseburger was great real bacon and fresh
It's one of my favorite places to stay.... affordable, great view, and no resort fee....parking fees or any other silly charges. Clean room, nice location, and great staff.
What a great place! My wife and I spent a weekend here in one of the apartments. I cannot believe how nice it was for the price. I used to stay at a place a mile or two north. This place is practically across the street from St. Johnâs Pass. The ro
Went to the Dollar tree the store was exceptionally clean, and organized. Never seen a dollar tree in the shape. The manager Tammy was awesome as well as her staff. That's what makes the difference. Will definitely shop there again
