SureStay by Best Western Terrell - Hotel in Terrell - 1705 TX-34, USA

I have been staying at this place for about a week now and I've seen a lot of mixed reviews. I want to offer some clarity for those who have mixed feelings about this place. Let's start with the staff - a huge thanks to staff member LISA for being incredibly friendly and lovely. The other staff members are also very nice and helpful. As for the parking lot, the traffic can get a little crazy trying to pull in, but overall, it's not too bad. The parking lot itself could definitely use some maintenance. Now, on to the rooms - my room was actually decent. No bugs, well, besides the one my daughter tried to bring in as a pet! The air conditioning was amazing, the beds are comfy, and the irons and blow dryer work perfectly. The outside washer is a little tricky, but it works with a slam of the lid. The bathroom is small, but the water indeed gets hot enough to wash the workday stress away. The mini fridge was nice and cold, and the microwave is small but does the job. I hope this helps anyone with mixed thoughts. Have a great time! P.S. DO NOT GO TO THE OTHER HOTELS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BRIDGE. THEY ARE RUN DOWN AND CRAPPY, FULL OF BUGS AND BIG SPIDERS.

Stopped here for the night after a long day on the road. Front desk staff was very welcoming. My room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The room included a refrigerator and a microwave. Water pressure in the shower was good. I didn’t try the breakfast but it looked pretty standard (cereal, fruit, and a waffle maker). I prefer a hot breakfast so I went to the Waffle House down the street.

This place is a great location and wow are the people at front desk so friendly. We requested extra pillow and blanket and it was already in room when we arrived! Breakfast had Texas shaped waffles that the grandkids loved! The pool was awesome. Will stay here again for sure! Very clean room

Excellent place to stay. Clean rooms. Great staff. Wonderful location as well. Nice and quiet, family friendly place to stay! Did I mention giant Texas shaped waffles on the free breakfast!

Lisa checked me in and she was very nice. Unfortunately my room had evidence of roach infestation (dead bugs and bug parts all over the room), to include a hole in the wall where it appeared eggs were residing. Lisa offered me spray which I accepted but them she asked if I wanted to switch rooms which I took her up on. It was late int the evening, I had been driving for 10 hours and she asked if the room next door was acceptable. Not wanting to move my gear and my dog up a flight of stairs, I agreed. Not much better but at least no roach eggs, but still dead bugs all over. Dirty, and damaged walls and furniture. Painters tape in the shower and just run down. Definitely not "newly refurbished," as advertised. When I checked out I mentioned to the am desk clerk about the roaches and his only response was, "I have a note that you complained." No offer to at least refund the 20.00 pet fee or apologies. Interesting that I read a similar review after checking out within a week of my stay with similar complaints. Management stated in their online response that they had professionals come in and state no evidence of infestation. If I had not been driving for 10 hours already i would have left.

Staff were friendly and answered my Questioned, pillows are fluffy , Water pressure is terrific and it's obvious they pay great attention to detail. With follow up after the room is cleaned. The a/c works extremely well and very quite and peaceful I will definitely be returning.

To anyone planning a visit to Terrell, I highly recommend staying here not just for its comfortable accommodations, but for the outstanding service provided by staff members like Lisa.

Rooms are well air conditioned, plenty of hot water in shower, rooms are clean. Bed is comfortable. Refrigerator in room worked so well it was freezing some of our items. Really enjoyed pool too! Employees are friendly and helpful.||Only complaints are outside entrance to rooms and concrete stairs. And on Sat nights the bar across the street can be loud. We were there on a Sunday night as well and it was much quieter!
