SureStay by Best Western McAlester - Hotel in McAlester - 1204 S George Nigh Expy, USA

I made a reservation for this MOTEL on Expedia. The rooms looked as if they were recently updated & clean in the online photos. Once I arrived and checked-in I went up to the room and was immediately dis-satisfied. The bed had a dead fly between the pillows and there were yellow stains ALL OVER the beds. I would not have my dog sleep underneath those blankets. I immediately went back down to the front desk and told them I would not be staying I wanted to inquire about getting a refund. The lady told me that per her boss a refund was approved but that I would have to go through expedia. Two days later after my second call with expedia, expedia contacted the property & then advised me that when they spoke with the property Manager they had changed their mind about the refund. That there was nothing wrong with them room. Do yourself a favor and NEVER book this place. They will lie to your face about their disgusting rooms. This place looks like a crack hotel.

The rooms have been renovated and are really nice for the money. The staff is really friendly and helpful and they have awesome security cameras and someone always monitoring the outside of the building which is comforting though there does not seem to be much crime in that area.

What hooked me in to stay here was reading the reviews of how clean it was! What a nice, inexpensive place! We were passing through and needed a place to sleep. The outside looked newly updated and our room looked newly updated too! It was a Sunday night and only 3 families were staying so when someone said that their room was stuffy walking in for the first time that only makes sense. Why have the a/c on if no one is there and the room cooled down in 10 minutes. Loved the shower and the dispensers in the shower. Two things I think need help. More lighting by the sink(could hardly see to do my makeup) and we could see light from outside at the bottom of the door, possibly a new threshold? The ice machine didn’t work so the front desk was very accommodating and gave us ice cube trays full of ice! The hotel was right off the interstate but behind some buildings so not too loud. We have marked this one for a place to stay again.

The room was clean except for a small spot/?stain on one of the bed spreads. Housekeeping did an excellent job of straightening and cleaning the room each day. Towels were replaced daily. Would definitely stay there again. Great value for the price.

this was the most disgusting grossest hotel i have ever seen. stains all over the beds and dead flies between the pillows. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!

This had the highest rating in reviews and a reasonable price so we stayed for the night. Never again. The comforters had stains all over them (we hope they were just stains) and we hardly got any sleep. The door between the adjoining room was so thin we could hear every word in the neighbor's room. They played the TV, talked, and coughed until about 1 then again about 4:30 so we couldn't get much sleep. The heat sounded like a jet taking off. If you need a good night's sleep I wouldn't recommend this place.

Pros: newly renovated. Room felt clean. Excellent parking lot lighting. Good, basic room for the price. Cons: extremely loud AC unit. Very loud bathroom vent. Bathtub extremely slick while taking a shower. Lack of cold water and hot water was ridiculously hot. No ice machine.

No ice machine. Did try to accommodate with a few inside personal ice trays. Found bed bug half dead on floor. Air was not on in room. Had to wait for it to cool off. But rooms were recently updated and seemed clean and stocked.chaeged me for my 2 small pets. So was a little more expensive than cared for but we were exhausted and couldn't drive further
