SureStay by Best Western Kansas City Country Inn North - Featured Reviews (826)
I honestly never write hotel reviews because most hotels aren’t worth reviewing. But this one is worth my time. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Middle tier hotels are a dying industry. They are nearly impossible to find these days. Most often you’re going to pay top dollar just to get a somewhat decent room (or worse, pay medium dollar for an absolutely disgusting room). But I felt the price here was VERY fair. I paid exactly what I felt that I should have and got exactly what I wanted.
A very clean room with comfortable bedding. Plenty of soap, towels, coffee and tea provided. Mid-morning checkout. With a fully stocked complimentary breakfast. The decor is obviously not modern, but I really loved that. It feels nostalgic and homey. I arrived very late in the evening and the night clerk was very polite and friendly. The morning staff was just as polite. I really can’t believe any of the bad reviews here. I’d guess they haven’t been staying at a lot of hotels these days. Because hotels just aren’t what they used to be. If I ever come back to Kansas City, I’m staying here again.
Oh and they take cats and dogs too!
This hotel should be priced at $50/night. It is very overpriced, for the lack of quality. ||The first two rooms that we were given had horrible smells—-like wet dogs and old socks. The third room was a little better. All rooms need to be aired out and detailed. ||Walls had cracks in them. No tissues in the bathroom. The outlet in the bathroom had no electricity. Poor lighting everywhere. ||Not a good experience. Keep looking!
The beds, pillows (are fluffy), and smoking rooms are very comfortable. It is a plus for me cause my partner does not have to go outside to smoke. The management are extremely helpful and make you feel at home. Accommodations are extremely wonderful. You would not be disappointed in your stay||Terri from Des Moines, Iowa
Background: a storm took out power to our house and it’s almost 100 degrees out.
The Motel room, one king size bed was 186 dollars for the night by the time all was said and done.
#1, we walk into the room and it’s sweltering. We turn on the AC unit and 2 hours later it’s almost tolerable.
#2 the pool is out. I get it, but don’t charge me almost 200 a night for a 50 dollar room and no pool.
#3 all the outlets are loose and worse, there are none next to the bed so your phone is across the room charging.
#4 I can’t stream any of my shows because the tv only has cable, not a smart TV. So random movie it is.
#5 the bed was hard as a rock and there were no extra blankets available. Just 2 sheets and a smallpox blanket. We both woke up sore and tired.
#6 the sidewalk to the room was littered with cigarette butts and included pre rolled joints.
In summary, this felt like a roadside 50-80 dollar a room service and at that price point I wouldn’t have written this review, but at 186 dollars for a single night, I will never stay at this or any other Best Western again. Pay a little extra and stay at a Marriott. I won’t make this mistake again.
I don't like to talk about hotels but this one is very comfortable and very cheap for those of us who like to visit relatives and have our space. The customer service is very good and friendly. I highly recommend it for everyone who visits Kansas. Keep going with that kindness that makes the customer feel comfortable
Positive: There are so many things I appreciate about this hotel. Upon entry, The lobby was clean and the staff helpful and amazing!! The room was spotless and very accommodating. It was also very quiet, considering it was a weekend and seemed like a full house. Negative: Nothing at all. Negative: ""
As my title said, it is a a rundown motel in an run down neighboorhood. No walkable restaurant nearby. The choice of breakfast items was limited and was the same every day, so do not expect a fancy kitchen, even though the quantity, not quality, was good. Internet was faster than expected, and staff were helpful. The room was clean (except some flies inside), but quite old style.
If you are wanting a luxury hotel this is not it. If you want good location and good service and fast internet and simply clean rooms then this it. Save you $$ unless its a busy weekend like when we were here. We were paying double over reg prices but concert was in town and other events and it was sold out everywhere so thats understandable. They also had hot breakfast which I liked b/c last SureStay I stayed in only had cold breakfast.---The water pressure is great here fyi!

This is the place to be in KC. My husband and I had such an amazing experience at The Truitt. We loved everything about it. We loved the unique and luxurious decor, the ease of parking, comfort of the room and how easy it was to walk to the art museu

The room was wonderful and the breakfast was very nice. Everyone was very good to us. It was the best place we stayed over the course of our cross country trip. We liked the way that it seemed to match up with the vibe of the downtown. Our room was v
I absolutely love staying at 44 and coming to visit my friends. Although I am an employee of BMG, had I found this community on my own, I have no doubt I would have fallen in love with the community and staff. They have the best events and the best r
First of all we love the name! Two Sugars in Kansas City is such a cute name and coffee shop. We loved our latte and conversation with the owner. Iâll definitely be back to try their matcha!
