Large selection but you’ll spend some time looking if you really want something specific. Not a lot of sized racks which makes it difficult and time consuming. I did notice the jeans were sized which was so helpful! Prices were great. Definitely a fun place to thrift. No fitting rooms. Plenty of parking.
One of the better ones in town. Good selection of clothes and shoes, decent prices not great but not usually insulting either. One star knocked off because I was in there the day before yesterday and my skateboard disappeared. Suspecting it may have been picked up by one of the workers, I spent the last 20 minutes frantically searching for someone on the floor to ask about it but there was no one to be found anywhere. I didn't enjoy the walk home
WOW, definitely a gem. If you can do the drive, this is a must go for thrifters and resellers. Yes, i said it! One of the last places for genuine thrifting and great pricing. No gatekeeping here! Better get there early, they fill up quick. And dont worry abput the staff, theyre mostly rude, and they wont check what color is on sale, if you forget lol one lady told me to go check myself. So i did, and it was a faaaar walk haha bc i was all the way in the back, and this place is huge, too. Please eat before going here 😭 its a lot of walking and since the staff isnt greeeeeat, theyll make u mad. So yeah, snax. 10/10 going to be one my new staples for thrifting.
I don't know if they changed the management at this thrift, but lately, the prices have been unreasonably hiked. I took 6 books to the register, and the total was about $40 dollars. Their sign says the books are $1 each, so I told the cashier that I thought all books were $1 and he showed me that one of the books was priced at $9. That's almost the price of it new minus the bent covers and dust stains.... I know it's not the staff's fault, but I wish they'd at least price some of the items reasonably.
This is a big thrift store so it will take you at least an hour to go through the entire store. The prices are not the cheapest but you definitely have more options to choose from, they definitely have more range of products than other thrift stores in the area. However the Mission Bargain thrift store has the best range of furniture. There's no try room for you to try clothes. All sales are final, no returns are accepted.
Store always has a good inventory of clothes, shoes, and home items 😄
One of my favorite stores in town!
For nearly 20 years my family and I have given to the Rescue Mission and donated to the many thrift stores. I have experienced of lately a change though in the staff. Some of the staff have been working here for years and I don't see a lot of turnover either. Because they only hire their family members. This is called nepotism and is illegal. It prevents anyone from outside the immediate family who works there from getting a job. Along with management only hiring immediate family there is a rise in singling out Caucasian people who shop there, too. I have seen the staff at the counter single out this one woman who is a frequent shopper at all the stores locally. She is constantly followed by employees and harassed for looking at the computers behind the counter. They are not helping any other customers that are waiting in line to be rung up. The staff at the counter, the security guard all just stand around and talk about this woman. It is extremely tacky and unprofessional. I am surprised the lady they single out has not reported them for harassment and defamation. It is evident that the staff is jealous of her or have issues with her. The lady to what I can see just shops like the rest of us. She pays like the rest of us but what it seems to me the only real issue is the woman is White. The staff harassing her is Hispanic. I'm writing this because it's a problem here in Oxnard. The staff treat the White shoppers terribly. The staff accuses them of shoplifting when it is evident they were not. I have seen on more than four occasions the staff stopping this lady and asking to look in her purse and they never find anything! This lady just keeps taking it and never says anything to them. I'm not that easy going and I am just disgusted with the treatment this lady undergoes by the staff. It makes me and my family not want to spend or donate another penny to the Rescue Mission- your all bigots and hypocrites. I hope this lady gets the nerve to sue your organization- you all deserve to lose your jobs!
