Super Tacos Oaxaca - Mexican restaurant in Glen Burnie - 7748 Governor Ritchie Hwy, USA

Loved it! Even if I did stumble upon it accidentally! Tacos were great! Street corn was great! Chips n salsa were great with a nice kick! Beer was ICE COLD! I'm not fluent in Spanish, but Brenda knew what I was trying to say when I was ordering. So, yeah, Brenda was great too! Nice atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

After sitting and deciding on where to eat I'm glad my son convinced me to go with Super Tacos Oaxaca. The decorative set up, cleanliness and super friendly and professional service upon entering was an immediate win. After selecting our seat, our waiter brought out complimentary chips and salsa which is a nice touch while waiting for food. Everything we ordered was delicious and I can't stop talking about the Elotes. 🥰😋😋 I've had them many other places and theirs is HANDS DOWN thee absolute best. It's safe to say we'll be returning.

This photo is posted on the wall in the restaurant and the waitress told us that it was wrong, that the fajita Wednesday is buy one get one half off. Then despite arriving before the supposed 5:00 happy hour time we were not offered that menu, however the Hispanic family next to us was able to order drinks off of it around 5:30. The waitress attended to them way more than us, brought their table of 2 two baskets of chips at a time and our table of 6 only one basket at a time. When we asked her about the happy hour size drinks they were getting at 5:30 she said oh happy hour is till 5. We didn’t get utensils for the whole table until well after we had our food at this point some of us decided to use the spoons that came with the our fajitas. We only received a refill on water one time. When it came time to pay she stood over us watching as we paid which was super uncomfortable. My 10 year old even asked at one point “ mom why is she mainly waiting on that table over there only”. It stinks because the food was decent but who wants to feel unwelcome or to be treated differently.

Super Tacos is super delicious! We stopped in for lunch, and I had their grilled vegetables tacos combo. The vegetables were tender crisp and had a fresh grilled flavor. The green salsa on the side was the perfect addition to the tacos. The black beans were a little soupy but had a good flavor. My husband had the chili relleno with chicken. It came in a creamy sauce that had a nice spicy kick.

First visit here and we weren't really impressed. The server who waited on us did not make us feel welcomed. She was short with us and not very friendly. I thought maybe it was a language barrier but noticed two other customers come in and she seemed very attentive to them. I'm going to assume they are regulars there because of the conversation. We order beer and the birria tacos. We were only brought one beer and a water. When we asked if she could bring another, she said ok but proceeded to wash dishes at the bar. So, we asked the other waitress to bring us one, which she did after she finished her conversation with another table. The birria tacos were just ok. It was a hard fried shell which I'm not use to but no big deal. However, the consume was flavorless, and the beef was a little chewy. Overall, the service just really threw us off, which really gives you the first impression of a place. We will not be visiting again.

I went with my two kids (12 & 14), and the food was good. There is a language barrier which is normally not a big deal for me. However, when we got our check, the server added a 25% tip to my bill. After she walked away the kids said they observed the server push 25% for herself. Yes, I should have paid more attention to the bill, but I had 1 margarita and I do not typically drink. I feel like I was taken advantage of, and if this helps just one person, I am okay with that. Needless to say, I will not be going back, and this is a shame. Try to find a decent restaurant only to be taken advantage of. It's good but it's not worth it!

Such a adorable little place, the food and staff were so nice and accommodating!!! Definitely going back and totally recommend

UPDATE: Another 5 stars!!! I came in town again (I live out of state) and my same friend and I couldn't wait to come back. One reason we came the first time was that they advertised watermelon margaritas and we really wanted one, but they didn't have any. We were a little disappointed but the food and alternatives drinks more than made up for it. This visit, we were hoping for the watermelon margaritas but they didn't have them again. We started to leave but decided to stay for lite food. Our waitress Brenda was happy that we stayed and was kind enough to send someone out to get watermelon just for us and it was well worth it. Fresh blended watermelon with chunks of watermelon in the margarita. So good, we ordered a total of 4 of them. Brenda and the other waitress (we didn't get her name) were extremely kind and accommodating. If I had to give one critique, it would be that the restaurant should be sure to have in stock what they advertise, but other than that, this was my second visit here and both visits were excellent!!! Excellent!!! One of my best friends and I researched a place for good birria tacos and just good authentic Mexican food. We lucked up on this gem!!! From start to finish, EVERYTHING was amazing!!! We were greeted by our wonderful waitress, Patricia. She served us freshly cooked chips and amazing salsa to start. I couldn’t decide on getting guacamole or queso dip to start so I got both. OMG!!! Both were equally amazing and I layered them together with the salsa…SO OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD!!! I got the shrimp chimichanga and a side of Mexican corn. Food was so good, I mostly ate with my eyes closed to savor every bite lol. Every ingredient in the chimichanga had flavor. Most times, mixing the ingredients gives it the flavor but this was the first time that I could taste that each ingredient (the rice, shrimp, beans, etc) was seasoned before they put everything together. Soooooo good!! My friend loved her birria tacos!!! The margaritas were huge. Very flavorful but not too strong. It gives a nice comfortable buzz where you can still drive home afterwards lol. And not sure if he was the owner or manager, but a very kind gentleman came out at the end and offered us churros for dessert on the house. OMG!!! So good. Freshly cooked, crispy and sugary on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside with a very lite cream filling…served with ice cream. Just delicious. To top it all off, Patricia truly was a sweet and attentive waitress. She took the time to engage us in lite conversation and told us about different specialties on different nights. All in all it’s a comfortable spot with amazing food and awesome service. We definitely will be going back!!!
