If I could give zero stars I would. By far the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Tons of miscommunication, prices changing DRASTICALLY once you go to check in. I was told "can't help you" with a shoulder shrug to accompany it when I told the front desk girl that my card wasn't declined and SHOWED her the charge from the hotel on my statement. The manager was rude and continued to cut me off while I was speaking. The girl told the manager a completely different story than what had actually occurred, which was frustrating. When I ran into the first issue I called some one to help me out to which the front desk girl goes "oh my god" and sighs. I told her how incredibly rude and unprofessional that was and she just stared at me like she didn't care. All in all such poor business and they should really be out of business if that's the way they want to treat people.
I love how the owner replied giving excuses for poor customer service. Hey owner, maybe train your staff better and take responsibility for how your employees treat people. I clearly did not stay with you people and will recommend people stay literally anywhere else. I should've read the other reviews before booking. Seems like there are several issues with your establishment. Good luck.
I was hesistant to stay here but the location, reviews and price were good. It was one of the best hotels for the value I've stayed at! Great shower/towels, bed, little breakfast area, 24 hour pool/hot tub for adults. Just wish there would of been an elevator because those steps with luggage was not fun and there were no lower level rooms available. There were also kids in the pool without parental supervision in the morning and they needed supervision.
Very clean!!! Good sized room. Everything worked. Pet friendly (only $15/night for the dog). Quiet. Perfect stay. And, affordable. Right off the interstate so easy to get on the road the next morning. Can highly recommend this Super 8 motel.
The room was nice, had some issues... like the shower rod... it seems like it's going to fall off anytime soon... no bags for ice or trash cans.. I had issues with one of the lamp but when we're back to the hotel, I was too tire to say anything... other then that the place was nice and clean. Thr breakfast was good as well... love the Complimentary breakfast
Positive: Conveniently located, decent price. Choices for breakfast were nice. Bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean. Negative: Room was extremely musty upon arrival. Fortunately, blasting the air conditioning and opening the window for fresh air to come in through the screen helped. Not sure why I found a few large black ants on the floor, but I stepped on them.
I never have provided bad reviews of anything and try to be positive, however this honestly was the worst stay I've had in a hotel in 30 years or more. I have had recent stays in other wonderful area hotels due to an injury where I needed accessibility, but they were unfortunately booked this weekend. From the front desk check-in process to the room location and stay, there is not one good thing to share about my super 8 experience. The check-in process was long and ridiculous. The extra fees unnecessary as I did not have that at any other hotels this past few weeks. The accessible room was located at the far end away from the lobby and breakfast making them unaccessible. The hallways smelled horrible, the room was small, smelled musty, and looked more like a jail cell (online photos are deceiving).The windows were covered in film with cobwebs all over so I couldn't get natural light. I am allergic to pets and was very allergic to the room (having to use medication and inhalers) meaning there had been pets and it was not cleaned well. I would've asked to change rooms but was on my own after getting everything to my room and it would've been difficult to move and the help was barely able to check people in let alone help with anything else. I was up ALL night due to dogs barking and paper thin walls where I could hear EVERY word from rooms all around me and the hall even with the air on. It is after 2:30 am and still haven't been able to sleep. There are far better hotels in the area for less. Do not waste your money on this place and I would never stay here with my kids.
OMG, what can u say about this location? Well, this is one of the most comfortable beds ever,I seriously want one. Being disabled it's hard to find one that's comfortable. Luke is amazing in his people skills and communications. He made the problematic vacation so much better and easier to deal with. The late night pool hour's for adults is an incredible and wonderful way to relax after a Rocky day. I'll be back even if for a one nice get away.
Upon checking in the desk staff was slow and the people ahead of me were even joking about it. I needed to be quick but the process was ridiculous and nothing I had experienced elsewhere. I got charged a hold fee on my credit card which I was not charged at any of the other 3 hotels I have stayed at in the Wausau area. I requested a refund this morning for my second hotel night as it was the worst I have ever experienced and not as described, but was told they couldn't do that. I broke my foot and could not get up the stairs to my house so I needed somewhere to stay as the places I had stayed at were booked for this weekend. The room was like a jail cell: my daughter cried when dropping me off because she didn't want to leave me there but she had to go to her dad's. I was allergic to the room so apparently dogs had been in there and it hadn't been cleaned properly. I couldn't breathe and didn't have medication with me because I wasn't aware I'd be around pets directly. The hallways and room smelled. The window was covered in a film and cobwebs so I couldn't get natural light. There were dogs barking all night and the walls were so thin that it was like there were 20 people in my room until 4:55 am! I fell asleep at 5:00 am and was woken by dogs barking in the hall and people yelling at them at 6 am. I need sleep to heal, need to be able to breathe and had to call someone this morning to pick me up to get out of there. I will fight for a refund on my second night for sure and would appreciate the first night as well that was horrifyingly not a good stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Surprised they stay in business. The desk help is of no help. I paid half of that for wonderful rooms elsewhere in Wausau. Go anywhere else!! .

My room was neat and handicapped accessible.

They have samples for almost everything, which I found super helpful in picking my favorites to purchase.
