Super 8 by Wyndham Vicksburg - Hotel in Vicksburg - 4127 I20 Frontage Rd, USA

I booked the Vicksburg Super 8 around 3 hours before I got there, Midnight. It was about $70 for one night, Monday, July 23. The location is close to Interstate 20 and in proximity to several other budget hotels. The checkin was great, nice guy at the desk, well spoken, prepared and thorough. ||There is no elevator so I had to go up a flight of stairs, the stairwell needs some work, the carpet especially. The room was close to the stairs so my one night stay was relatively painless!||The room was a typical budget product, nothing exceptional. I was annoyed at a lack of a cell phone charger port usually provided on the lamp or electrical socket. The room was not exactly super clean and the linen was getting worn. The TV was nice and the channel selection was excellent. The bathroom was fine, hot water, towels, soap etc. we're good.||There is coffee and granola bars in the morning, no breakfast entrees. The coffee was not so great to me, but I'm picky about my coffee.||Really I got a better deal in Meridian Mississippi 2 days earlier at the Motel 6 for $50. This Super 8 sort of reflects Vicksburg on general, run down, tired looking. Next time I'll head to Jackson or Meridian when I'm on my way through Mississippi.

Good basic lodging. Non smoking. Rooms were clean, nice. No breakfast so plan on going across the street. Next door to the battlefield, so great location if you're a history buff. Pool was open. Older property but well kept.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. First let me say the rooms are VERY outdated, however I have stayed in more updated hotels that weren't half as clean as this place. You will not beat the price and location to the military park. Our first room was very clean but the AC was extremely loud so we were moved to a different room. The second room was equally clean. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the bed was and really how clean the room was. We felt safe in the location and had a great experience. We'd stay again.

The lady who checked us in was friendly and informative. The room was clean and the pool was open late so we got a few minutes in even though we came in later. Only docking stars because we stayed Wyndham and free breakfast whenever we could on this trip to save money and there was no breakfast. Just coffee and a granola bar...

Positive: The clerk was very nice Negative: No elevator and only had rooms on the 2nd floor. Got in late and they leave the air OFF in the rooms so we walked into an oven until the AC had time to cool off the room.

Nice, large area to walk dogs. Small pool. Breakfast is a granola bar and coffee.

The beds and pillows were amazingly comfy. The sheets/ pillow cases were clean. The bathroom and vanity area looked clean. (Although, I still disinfected/ cleaned the entire room myself; including the bathroom)  The young lady at the front desk was very friendly, helpful,  pleasant,  and kind. When I checked out the gentleman at ther front desk had a very pleasant disposition as well. The a/c in the rooms do work but only come on intermittently. It was rough to sleep at night because the room was very moist and dank. The carpet & couch in the room were horribly stained with heaven knows what & absolutely disgusting!! I covered the couch with a sheet and forbid my children to go near it. I've spent less money for similar rooms at hotels before and never seen the carpet & couch this bad! The breakfast was subpar and could use some work getting a better menu of items together. I believe they offered only a muffin & coffee lol I wish I had of taken pics, but was too busy cleaning what I could so I could put my children to sleep. Also, the location was decent. It was lights outside but, still kinda dark and creepy feeling.

Breakfast is only granola bars and coffee! Room smelled very musty and felt super humid, towel was stained and had bugs on it. Location was great for visiting the military park!
