Super 8 by Wyndham Salisbury - Featured Reviews (613)
I've been there two times, but this is the first time that I've been there after they renovated. since I was only there two days last time this time I was there for a week. It has 2 levels and is a little different after the renovations have more Decor nice and simple. The floors have remained the same and have metal standards for the beds for some rooms, and it makes noise whenever you get off and on the bed. But air conditioning has upgraded and is nice cool. It has a pool not too deep but no life guard, and it's cold but nice and relaxing close 9 pm to open 9 am. It has ice it's a machine that works pretty well. There is also a pizza place not that far, and they have menus in rooms for delivery service from that place. The service is nice and clean service is good and can give travels to guess if they ask very nicely. It is very nice but could be a little better 😉
It's a Super 8, not the Ritz Carlton. Clean, spacious rooms with the largest hotel TV I've ever seen. Decent location. There is also a small pool. All of the amenities work as they should: there is an ATM, a soda machine and an ice machine. I'd probably stay here again if I couldn't find anything cheaper - I don't need all of these amenities but I do appreciate that they are there :) PS- don't get excited for their continental breakfast unless all you wanted was toast, coffee and an apple 😂
The 2nd floor smelled like weed, not just one room the entire hallway. We walked in our room and it felt like a Hot Box. Took till 3 or 4 in the morning for the room to finally cool down. Restroom looked dirty and unkept. Wyndham should not associate their name with Super 8. Just terrible.
The lady at the desk was sweet as could be when we checked in 🥰 and when I locked us out of our room only a few minutes later lol. The room could be updated a little more (as a lot of hotels could be) but it was a comfy king bed and a hot shower. And the fridge and microwave were much appreciated and needed. I did need my white noise machine because the air conditioner was nice but too quiet to use to sleep lol. (Which would be a good thing for most people.)
I booked a reservation here through Priceline for the night of May 17th. The building is located in a very good location, just right off the highway. The greeter we spoke to was friendly, and the inside of the building looked clean. They had an indoor pool, an ice machine maker, and a soda machine. Fairly standard although, oddly enough, the aquarium set up was devoid of all life. The room was advertised as, “King Studio Suite - NonSmoking” and the image previews showcased an adequately lit, fairly spacious, suite. What I actually walked into was “The Hills Have Eyes” edition of dimly lit hotel rooms. Viewing the room photos and submitted details lead me to believe that the suite wasn’t going to be a regular room with everything crammed inside of it, but boy was I wrong. This king studio suite was the same size as a regular room, even though it cost up to twice as much as their regular twin bed room. The cherry on top after getting MTV Catfished with the photos and description, the room is supposed to be a non smoking, to be clear it’s a non smoking building, but the room smelt like a cartoon episode scene where Tom the cat and his buddies left after smoking and playing a few games of poker. Stepping inside the stinking room, you start to check out the lighting, in which I’ll go ahead and say that there are definitely coal mines in West Virginia that’s been blessed with more lighting than this room. There were three total lights in the room. The first was located at the mirror, which has a border light around. As for it’s usefulness it’s right when you step in and doesn’t provide anything but casting rays of LED beams onto your sad and disappointed face. The second was the 20 lumen (and that’s stretching it to say it’s that powerful) light fixture built into the ceiling. This light is slightly more sufficient than walking around with a jar of fireflies on a summer’s night. The only powerful light in the room was the lamp that sat on the desk. Like a lighthouse for weary travelers to give you the illusion of safety, you would soon find out that it’s aura would dissipate with three or four more steps into this room, especially if you needed to traverse your way to the AC unit. It was almost completely dark by the time you get to the unit that’s sat below the curtains. I’m sure you think, “Why not pull the curtains for light?” And you’re right, whenever I get into the shoved in whirlpool jacuzzi, that’s being held together by what looks like caulk and toothpicks, I can casually stew in the water while staring out into the eye level parking lot at those unsuspecting people. So, after a couple minutes of inspecting the room and ensuring that what I actually saw is real, my partner and I went back to the front desk and asked for a refund. They told us they’re refunding the amount, and it should be 3-5 business days since it was done through Priceline. To end this review on a good note, after being told there will be a refund issued, we went to the Comfort Suites Salisbury I-85 maybe four miles away that was cheaper, nicer, and actually had lights for us to navigate the room with. Edit: 05/21/2024 I was informed by the Manager that they will not issue refunds for their trashy rooms. It’s probably better if you stayed in your car, or in a homeless encampment than this place.
Positive: Price Negative: Horrible smell through the entire hall and rooms. Apparent drug use in rooms. Nonsmoking smelled of smoke of all kinds. Clerk could not get room key to work. Had to change rooms. Hotel located at the end of a dead end. Tub was stained. Negative: ""
Run away!! Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. Disgusting, infested with roaches and mice, and smokey. We booked this hotel for a night to crash on our way to Atlanta. The first room we got smelled like a smoking room. It was unbreathable in there. The second one had mice! The breakfast was a joke. Not recommended.
We found a great deal online for a hot tub room. After it took almost 2 hours to get into our room, the first one had someone playing video games, the second room had no air or heat. And the third room we were placed in was not what we wanted nor paid for but since it was 8pm we gave up trying. Beds were extremely comfortable, cleaning could be better. We were supposed to hear from management about a free room butt of course that never happened. Will not stay here again.
Great atmosphere. The staff are always pleasant, eager to help out anyway they can. Breakfast on time and always has a good selection to choose from. The rooms are clean and smell really nice. I wanna give a shout out to the young lady and gentlemen

We were heading back from Renaissance Festival near Charlotte and found this place along the way back to Raleigh. I called ahead of time to make sure they could make sure they could accommodate gluten free as well, since two of us have Celiac. They s
Today was the perfect day to grab some lunch where we could stand outside and eat. Extremely simple concept and menu. It works so well! We ordered 2 hot dogs with chili and mustard and 1 cheeseburger all the way (mustard, chili & onions). The burger
It's probably one of the best tasting steaks I have ever eaten in N.C. The broccoli 𥦠casserole was delicious! The salad ð¥ was very good as well and they give you a nice portion.
This restaurant was suggested by the hotel clerk while on my business trip. I took the other managers here for dinner before our busy day. Our waitress was Nevaeh and she was absolutely phenomenal. She went over the items and made suggestions on our
