Super 8 by Wyndham Riverside/Kansas City - Hotel in Riverside - 800 Northwest Argosy Parkway, USA

A couple of friends and I came here from Manhattan, Kansas for a little summer road trip and we had booked this hotel to stay in for the next couple of days. We checked into our room. The front desk guy was kind and welcoming. When we stepped into our room it was nice and cold. it felt very nice because the Midwest heat doesn't compare to anything And it was burning outside. The AC was cooling very well and the room was nice and clean. The bed was really comfy with clean pillows, sheets, and blankets. the bathroom was also tidy. and the shower had hot water. Even though the pool wasn't in order, And there wasn't much selection for breakfast, The staying experience made up for it. The lobby was a nice vibe. And the color scheme of green throughout the lobby was pretty. There is also a Casino very close across the street. Overall I would completely recommend you to stay here!

Very clean overall. Very nice staff the owner is a very nice guy. I don't see what all the negative reviews are for as most of it seems to be false. Has multiple selections in the vending machines. The whirlpool tub is very nice and well maintained unlike other super 8 locations, all jets work perfect and at perfect pressure. Would give a 6/5 if I could but it only goes to 5. My service dog had an accident in the lobby and they didn't make a huge deal about it as accidents happen. I would recommend that if you are going to Argosy across the way to stay hear instead of at the casino as you get good quality for the price and that means you got more money to possibly win more money with. The outside of the hotel is beautiful too. The only super 8 I've seen that had beautiful blue color instead of plain cement

Go anywhere else. I arrived at 1:30 am after driving 6hrs straight with my dogs. I was told I had to stay in a smoking room because of my dogs (whatever, what choice did I have?), I was immediately greeted by a roach in the bathroom, I killed it and moved on. I took my shoes off and found the floor to be sticky and moist, again I should have complained then, but didn't. I rinsed off and placed the white towel on the carpet to allow myself to avoid touching the filthy carpet and jump straight on the bed to sleep for the long drive ahead of me, but was then greeted by 2 little bugs crawling in the bed, I called it there, I lifted up the towel I had stood on and found it to be black from just me standing on it. I went to the front desk and told them I was leaving and would like a refund, I was there a bit over an hour in total due to me having to walk my dogs, he told me I would have to speak with the manager in the morning, but he could give me a different room, I declined and he offered me BUG SPRAY. I left my contact, went the much cleaner MOTEL 6 down the way and I called in the morning to speak with the manager. I explained my issue, more calmly than the situation deserved, he told me since I used the shower and trash can I was liable for the full amount, he went on to tell me that 1. The towel must have been dirty from me scrubbing something "really hard" even though you can see the impression of the carpet's pattern 2. That he does not believe that there were bugs, and that IF there were it was because of my "flea and tick infested dogs brought them" , and thats why he puts dogs in that specific room. We went back and forth and he told me he would have pest control come out and verify my claims and would then decide whether or not I was deserving of a refund. I assume this to be a false statement to get me off the phone. I was not going to post this review if I had just gotten my $200 back, but that's unlikely and I just hope that I can save you the trouble. There are cheaper motels in the area, but if it's a difference of $50 I would spend it to avoid this place. I have never written a review like this, I believe that most people are doing their best and just working on making a living, but this place shouldn't be in business

Very family friendly.nice staff. Good location next to casino. Beautiful building painted in a nice sky blue color. Clean parking lot with no garbage to worry about stepping on. Owners are very friendly people. Door lock was broke and owner fixed it right away. The vending machines have plenty of selection.the whirlpool tub was well maintained and working very nicely, all jets were at full power. Very quick check in| Didn't have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get a room. You will not regret staying here

The first room they put us in had cockroaches. I was completely horrified by my experience at this location. The second room the put us in was filthy. The sheets were dirty the furniture was dirty just disgusting. We will never stay at this motel again. The breakfast was very slim (bread, cereal in plastic containers, waffles in a plastic box. We did not eat out of concerns of the cleanliness. Horrible experience I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

The best customer service for a hotel in Kansas City. They met all of our needs and concerns. The hotel was very clean. The room was very cozy and we were very happy with our stay. The customer service was top notch. We will be staying again very soon.

Not a bad place. The staff was r friendly. It’s a super 8 so expectations were not super high anyways. But it’s next to a casino and near 3 freeways that can get you anywhere in the Metro area in 15 minutes. My only real complaint is their continental breakfast was sorely lacking in choice and their beverages were watered down and tasteless. Fix that and can give a 5* rating.

Don't waste your money. Hotel appears to be under renovation, but not sure. Took 3 times before my wife and I were in a room with working air conditioner. It is off the highway a bit, across from a casino, but highly doubt I will stay again, unless desperately in need of sleep.
