Super 8 by Wyndham Richfield Area - Hotel in Richfield - and, 77, 4845 Brecksville Rd, USA

The fact that I walked into this hotel and immediately turned right back around. I couldn't even bring myself to go look at the room. As we pulled in, you could see employees watching you from the windows. Looking at the outside of the building, you can just tell what is inside. The second I walked in the door, the smell of stale cigarettes and urine hit you in the face. The lobby was outdated and grimy. The employees spoke very broken English and had a hard time understanding us. I don't even want to know what our room would have looked like. 10/10 would not recommend.

The entire building, hallways, rooms, smell strongly of cigarette smoke although it is posted numerous time that the building is non smoking. Our room smelled like someone had recently smoked a pack in the bathroom attached. Worse than that, the window of the room had a large, deep crack in it. There were towels piled up on the window seal near the crack - were they there to prevent a leak? were they left by a previous guest and were never picked up by cleaning services? ||||We stayed only as long was necessary for our overnight. All the reviews we saw prior to booking were positive - I hope no one else ends up in the same shock we experienced.

There were no more potholes, a new parking lot, and nice staff. Fresh linens and a spotless bed. The home is undergoing renovations, which are visible, and the rooms were tidy. It had a pleasant scent. There were plenty branded amenities in the room. Not only that, but the price was excellent. Would absolutely advise

If there was a zero star option that's what I would pick. This place was dirty top to bottom even the outside. We didn't even check into our room because when you walked into the lobby all you could smell was stail cigarettes and just dirt. You can't understand the staff, the roof looks like it is about to collapse, and it was just gross. DO NOT GO HERE!!! It is so much better at the quality Inn or ANYWHERE else.

This was possibly the worst place I've ever stayed in my life. The first room we were assigned was completely trashed. There were bags of garbage at the entrance, and the beds were a mess with everything scattered on the floor. We requested a second room, but it was even worse. It reeked of cigarette smoke, the bed sheets were full of cigarette burns, the table was broken, the mini-fridge didn't work, and there was dust everywhere. The blankets had reddish stains that smelled like blood. We left immediately and requested a refund. They promised we’d get our money back in two days, but we haven’t received anything yet. When we called today, 5/22 (we stayed from 5/17 - 5/18), a rude person angrily told us we wouldn't be getting our money back. We are now taking legal action against this horrible business. For the love of God, stay away from this place. Instead, go to the Quality Inn Suites down the road for a much better experience.

We traveled many miles to arrive here, it said there was breakfast but there was none. More importantly the room was horrendous. The door was falling off its hinges, the toilet seat was falling off. The bathroom tiles were peeling up and it was generally dirty. The beds were stained and the room smelled like dirty laundry. There was a pillowcase shoved in the smoke detector. There were holes in the lampshades, the desk drawer was installed upside down. I would highly recommend avoiding this. We stayed the night as we had little choice but we would not even shower there.

This place was the absolute WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. We get to our rooms and they were NOT cleaned from the previous visitors. Had to run to a Walmart to get cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes just to make the bathrooms and sinks usable. Phones looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the 90’s. The advertised “ breakfast “ was just small pieces of fruit and stale bagels. While it’s great that they allow pets, having dog crap just laying on the sidewalk outside is disgusting. When we checked out, we voiced our concerns and the staff, while saying sorry, you could tell it was insincere. I will never recommend Super 8 to anyone. If I was a vindictive person, I would lodge a complaint with the Ohio Department of Health. It was that bad.

Probably one of the worst hotel experiences! Hotel was more run down than I would have imagined! The room had an oversized recliner with burn holes, cigarette ashes on the bathroom floor, and beyond gross bedding. I was in the room for maybe 15 minutes before leaving room keys on the front desk. I called after leaving requesting a refund due to it being foul! I was told a refund was processed the same day. After waiting a few days no refund has been processed. I called asking for a receipt showing the refund, and the man at the front desk was less than helpful. Very disappointed as this was supposed to be alone time that was very much needed.
