Super 8 by Wyndham Plattsburgh - Hotel in Plattsburgh - 7129 US-9, USA

Front desk is phenomenal. I never expected this status for such a great rate. My room is something I don't want to leave. The pool is clean and the area around it invites people in. There's boutique stores and food available in walking distance. It is quiet even close to the interstate there is no outside noise. The landscape is that of a 5 star hotel. I have stayed in many Wyndham hotels over the last few years and I was shocked at how well this hotel was maintained. If you are in the area give this place a try. You and your family will love it.

Utter waste. Is there a word to use it for poor service, hospitality and reception please go with that. I booked the stay with my family for 4 nights. I checked in late night around 11:30pm and when I entered my room it was poorly managed, stinks, untidy washroom, sticky carpet, and no iron box. So I got one from the reception and later found that the iron box was not functional (water leaks) with the stand (rusted with dusty cloth) where I couldn’t iron my outfit. I got an alternate iron box and ended up by pressing my dress on the bed. The jug which I used to warm to feed my son ended leaking inside the microwave. Guess what not a surprise, the microwave didn’t work. We also saw insects in the room and lot more outside. The corridor was full of stain marks with black shoe and water marks. So I forced myself to look for some other hotel and ended up booking in other hotel for the rest of my days. When we checked out next day, the Nepali guy in the reception who doesn’t know English started rejecting my check out and treated my wife very badly. After her call explaining the incident, I left my work to check out by giving a call to the reception which they never answered. When I showed up at the hotel by 12:50, he started saying I crossed 1pm where in which I have to pay for the whole night even after me pointing the $40 additional cost for late checkout from 11-1pm which was displayed right in front of him. He refused and treated us very badly, inhuman, unprofessionally, no way you will believe how he treated us. So I ended calling 911 to put a full stop and the state troops showed up and helped us. Thanks the Plattsburgh State Troops. We never experienced this in any part of the world. If anyone read this message please don’t consider this even if you get it for very cheap cost. You can try and experience the same if they give you for free. I don’t know how I see few 5⭐️ rating from others. Usually I never see the review while booking. From now on this experience taught a lesson that I have to look in all reviews before I book something.

From the moment you step in the lobby of Wyndham Super 8 in Plattsburgh, NY, you feel relaxed atmosphere with plenty of live plants and relaxing music. Considering they don’t have many Staff members, it is darn well run hotel. You might need to call Manager on duty for check in and he is very mindful to have you checked in in no time. |There is a good size, very clean pool, which is a welcoming relaxation after a long day. Also, Plattsburgh City Beach and dog park is less than 5 mins walking distance. If you need a laundry done, there is a clean washer/ dryer just for guests. (You do need to have $2 in quarters per machine though.) |Rooms are sufficiently equipped with fridge, microwave, flat TV, AC and linen was clean. Bathroom is also well sanitized and the tape assures you nobody has used it after it’s been cleaned. I had a great night of rest, despite the fact that hotel is close to the highway. Overall it was very quiet and peaceful. |Manager Asher was going above and beyond to accommodate everyone. |I’m tremendously grateful for his hospitality and his friendly Staff who were beyond helpful. I will be staying at this hotel gladly again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hotel is GOOD for the price, the location and really an amazing staff. I stayed with my two kids and we liked it. The kids enjoyed the pool which was clean and well maintained. Thank you guys for taking care of us. By the way breakfast wasn’t bad to get you going.

Honestly if I could give it less than one star I would. There was absolutely no service. No towel change , nothing we spent over 600$ there for 2 nights. Not one thing done , breakfast there was nothing but dry cereal no milk. Toast with a jar of jam. Shared. We also just saw we got charged extra for dirtying a towel , that can be washed no issues. Very unsatisfying . Clearly charge you extras anywhere they can just to make money. 4 years ago this was a not bad place . Do not recommend staying here. Gives it a very bad name

Very pleased with my stay. Room is very clean and spacious. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Pool area is clean and relaxing. Outside doors are locked and key accessible only. Rooms are also key accessible only. Felt very safe and would recommend this place to family and friends

All the towels and bed sheets in our room were dirty with terrible stains on them. As a result, we got a new room with only one towel dirty which was later replaced with a clean one. Unfortunately, in that new "good" room the A/C did not work well or, to be more exact, could not be controlled, only worked in one position, the temperature control knob was missing. We had to open a window and survived the night. The net on the window had many holes in it. Fortunately, there were not too many mosquitos that night, so we did not suffer too much.|Also, the included breakfast was a joke. We could not eat any of things offered and there was a very few choices to begin with. Another thing - we initially arrived an hour early to official check-in time at 3 pm and we were told that if we want to check-in immediately we would have to pay $35 extra per room. We refused and came back after 3 pm and it turned out that 2 of our 6 rooms were not even ready. We asked for the refund as a result, almost jokingly, and, of course, were refused.|Also, the room's card keys stopped working - twice, once at night and once in the morning, so we had to go to reprogram them, but that was the least of our problems.|Overall, our experience was not pleasant at all.|I would never stay at that hotel again, even for free.

On a trouvé cet hôtel à la dernière minute le weekend dernier pour un prix encore trop élevé , pour une nuit, 262.00 $ CA , quand même très couteux, pour la qualité et service. Très mauvaise odeur dans l'hôtel , chambre médiocre, avec des trous dans les murs, néon de la salle du lavabo qui fonctionne 1 fois sur 4 .seulement. Des taches de .... sur la couverture du lit, yakkkk , je vous laisse imaginer.. J'ai demandé à remplacer la couverture, et cela a pris 3 tentatives d'appels sans réponse et il a fallu 3 visites en personne à la réception et presque 4 heures d'attente, pour une foutue couverte. L' air climatisée très bruyante et date des années 80, avec un vieux thermostat rond à aiguille .. La fenêtre qui ne tient pas ouverte par elle-même, on a du la bloquer avec un objet pour enlever un peu l'odeur dans la chambre et avoir de l'air , des vieux tapis tout déchiré et pas trop propre dans les corridors et dans les chambres. On ne parle même pas du fameux déjeuner qui est compris, et qui nous a été présenté comme un 4* .. Pas de lait pour les céréales et le café, machine à jus qui ne fonctionne pas, mélange de gaufre qui ne goutte pas bon, manque de muffins et gruau en sachet, et ils ne remplissent pas.. Bref, rien ne vaut ce terrible prix....L'un des proprio à l'accueil nous dit, que c'est un beau 4* ,peut-être ailleurs (autre pays)mais certainement pas celui-ci et ça ne ressemble en rien au 4* que l'on connait habituellement.. Pour avoir fait quelques hôtels à Plattsburgh, mais c'était la première fois que l'on s'y prenait à la dernière minute, et finalement juste pu trouver cet abominable trou hors prix.. Honnêtement cela aurait valu pas plus de $100.00 à $115.00 CA et encore.. Ayant fait du 3 * à Cuba, qui était encore mieux que ça, au moins ils ont l'excuse de na pas avoir les moyens de tout se procurer, mais pas une chaine d'hôtel de ce nom .. Super 8, qui a quand même une bonne renommée , mais malheureusement celui-ci ne leur fait pas honneur. Le seul point positif, les serviettes et le drap du lit étaient au moins blancs .Donc éviter de choisir ce si vous avez le choix ..
