Super 8 by Wyndham Marion - Hotel in Marion - 2601 Vernell Road, USA

This is a very nice room. Modern, clean and everything works! Frig, microwave, big mirror, clean and bathroom and modern sink and fixtures. All updated. Honestly WAY better than I had expected. My wife was a super 8 manager back in the 80’s and said it was never this nicely furnished. Always just bare needs and no frills, but always clean. But happy to report this is a great little hotel and the Manager goes out of her way to try and help you! Even offered to get us help to haul in our big electric cooler! Super helpful and friendly. And this is a awesome price if you check all the other hotels in this area. Quiet too as it’s at the end of the road and I don’t hear the highway. Tons of places to eat all right here! It sits directly the McDonald’s!! It’s a Hidden gem! Save your money and stay in a nice clean hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here. I think some people reviewing on here think they booked the 4 Seasons or a Hilton. This is nothing fancy but it gets the job done. The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. I got a bowl of cereal for breakfast. There is also a McDonald's right next door. Can't complain. I feel like I got what I paid for.

We started off with my husband going online and booking the wrong date. We went ahead to see if they could fix it. They were super nice,fixed our reservation. There was an issue with the first room we were assigned. The 2nd room key wouldn't work, Mary took it upon herself to upgrade us to a suite! The staff and accommodations at this location are amazing. Our experience was awesome! We will definitely stay here again when we we return to Marion.

HORRIBLE! Called a couple days ahead to ask for first floor room, get there and front desk service was horrible. Wanted to charged an extra $150 on top of what Expedia said this property’s deposit was, wouldn’t budge or look for a first floor, then followed us out to our car with our kids to take back the keys and said go somewhere else. Rude, dirty looking place. I called Expedia for my money back and the gal transferred to me a manager she was not impressed with the property’s extra charges. Would never recommend Super 8 anywhere to anyone. Don’t waste your money.

Started off a little awkward but service was amazing the staff & manager so professional & really care about your comfortability & well-being The stay was comfortable & clean & breakfast was amazing.overall great stay & would recommend if your visiting Marion il or any surrounding areas

Positive: Cleanliness and staff was great Negative: Carpet was old and dated. Windows were filthy. Very loud guests across the hall who stood outside at 4:30 am under my window talking really loud.

We booked at the last minute during the road trip. Paid about$100 ( including tax, dog, etc fees) for a room. Looks like the carpet was from 60’s and smelled like mold. We had a baby in stroller. From the front desk there are stairs to go to the room, no elevator. We had very hard time going down the strains but nobody told us that you can actually access from the other side of the building with the room key. Y

Nice enough place, great breakfast. Friendly staff. Shower pressure good. Rooms clean. Could use a update but overall we had a great time.
