Super 8 by Wyndham Lees Summit - Hotel in Lee's Summit - 607 SE Oldham Pkwy, USA

This motel offered a good price and a comfortable room. Quiet did NOT happen, however, due to both other people and to motel machinery sounds. It was clean. The desk clerk did his job but was not all that welcoming. Breakfast offered only apples and cereal, though these were good enough. I would make another choice.

This hotel has a lot of permanent residents. Most of them sit on the side drinking beer & smoking cigarettes enjoying themselves. The hallway floors are all stained up. Certain parts of the hotel smell like marijuana. Water pressure in the shower was non-existent and broken. Beds are dipped in the middle. I would definitely not stay again or recommend this hotel until they fixed everything. Definitely need to improve on the housekeeping or double check their work the room was filthy. We just cleaned it our selfs did not feel like moving all our gear to a new room.

This is only my opinion. The room was small and had a wet smell. The one cleaning lady needs to be taught how to cleaning and learn how to knock on the door before entering. Put your chain on. They don’t tell you but when I checked out I read the receipt. “ basically it says, they are not responsible for stolen property or any injury that happens while staying there. Don’t expect eggs, meat on breakfast, you’ll get steal cereal, juice with no flavor, coffee and apples. The pictures posted showing what the rooms look like. Those pictures are really old. The room I stayed in clearly had water damage. The ceiling had lots of wet spots. I got a different price for the room. They charge a $100 deposit just in case you steal something. They charge you $5 dollars for paying with a credit card. They have nothing in the rooms to steal, no coffee maker, no iron, not even those plastic bags for dirty clothes. I can write for days but you would think I’m complaining . I had to stay the duration they give no refunds. Lastly, I’ve stayed in nice hotels and when making a reservation the business never charged $14.99 to book a room. They appear money hungry to me. They told me booked online, so why when I got to the hotel they charged me $15 dollars. Get a receipt and please review it, I had charges I didn’t approve. They raised the amount of room 3 times. The site says one thing and when you get there it’s a different price. No, I’m not complaining. Believe my post you’ll find out. The staff is rude and they don’t listen to your concerns. I would not stay there again. I chose that place cause it was close to the hospital. You get what you pay for. All things cheap are not always good .

The staff were very helpful and nice. My room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast had waffles, a few different types of cereal, oatmeal, and apples, with milk and juice. Pool was amazing! Worth the stay and will definitely be back!!

I had searched hotels with a pool because I wanted to go swimming on my vacation but the pool was closed for maintenance both days. The lady at the front desk was not very friendly. She said quote , “People get hotels for the room, not for the pool.” Then she told me that I should be grateful because she waived my deposit. I didn’t care about the deposit being waived. I cared about having a couple of days to relax, swim, and cuddle with my partner in a big comfortable bed. I did not get the King room that I had booked because they had shampooed that rooms carpets. She acted like it was a good thing that it was a huge privilege that she gave me a double queen room instead. But the air conditioner was broke in that room and we had to move rooms to a double room with double beds. The whole stay was irritating and I was very upset that my vacation days were mediocre and glum due to not getting what I thought I was paying for.

Family travels alot for baseball so we like to pick affordable places to stay and our expectations aren't super high but this place was HORRIBLE. The rooms were 80+ degrees walking in and smelled very musty. Mold in the bathroom, shower pressure was extremely low, shower handles are tampered with so customers can only access luke warm water if that. Hallways smelled of smoke and weed. Their breakfast consists of cereal and waffles, their juices are out of date and nasty when taken from the machines. Lastly, upon checking out the "only woman worker" immediately started acting rude because one of the check in employees did not follow their protocol to give us the proper paperwork to get our deposit back. Though our deposit was given to us she proceeded with her rudeness because we couldn't describe in detail what the man looked like to her, and tell us "situational awareness is important in every day lives, I rely on my customers to tell me what is going wrong" because her employees "switch shifts all the time so it is no help to look back at" her schedule. Then proceeded to tell us to get off her property because we were not going to allow her to talk nasty to us in front of our children.

Nice overnight stay. Clean and quiet. Microwave and refrigerator. No coffee pot in the room, but there’s a coffee maker in the lobby . Very limited breakfast food. Waffle maker and cereal. Located near the highway. Many stores and restaurants nearby.

Not an upscale experience, but I was visiting a sick relative and looking for safe and inexpensive. I found both. There are issues if you are particular--- like a parking lot that needs refinishing...it is a little rough. There is a breakfast bar with DIY waffles which are awesome, then coffee, cereal, juice....the usual. The room is just a room. One of the hooks on the curtain was broken, but it still closed just fine. The water pressure was disappointing, however, I stayed there several months ago and enjoyed excellent water pressure. Go figure. Hair dryer? Check. Mini Fridge? Check. Stocked? Of course not! Bed was comfy. Furniture was functional. All of the switches worked, and the people are friendly. It has a Perkins next door (very walkable) and is adjacent to the highway exit in an area safe enough for me to walk (since I was without a car) across the highway to the QuikTrip to grab a beer! Not a smooth or wide walkway on the overpass, but it worked for me... late at tonight with minimal traffic. My very protective son accompanied me, so it felt safe enough. LOL. The pool was nice as well. Clean. Visible. Accessible. Everything I wanted. There were some kids there, but I wasn't looking at it thru that lens, so I can't judge. Other than the pool, it's not exactly a vacation destination.
