Super 8 by Wyndham Joplin - Hotel in Joplin - 2830 E 36th St, USA

We stayed at several hotels in several states over our vacation. This one was probably the best out of all of them. Staff were great and informative. Room was cozy. I didn’t wake up early enough for breakfast but I heard it was decent.

Positive: The woman who was in charge on Aug. 5th. She was very nice and helpful. First room was crap- TV was bad, no alarm clock, the bed is like way too high up to get into! I am disabled, had to have footstool which is dangerous for me & I am 71!! Negative: THE BEDS ARE TOO HIGH! I am crippled/disabled and could not get into the bed!!! Front desk did find a footstool for me, HOWEVER, still difficult to get on bed!!! Plus I am 71!!

Not the best location if you have to walk, but I loved the place. The staff is nice and they are so helpful. The room was lovely. The beds are a bit too high for short people like me 😂, but very comfortable. Clean and safe

First night there for 4 nights with our family was the worst experience. We had to stay in the hotel for 4 nights because our new place wasn’t ready to move in. The first room had bed bugs on both queen beds. My family and I gotten bite marks on our body. We Went to complain to the front desk about the bed bugs even videos and marks on my family members body and see if she’s able to compensate me for my $$ so I can go to a different hotel, she end up giving me another room and asked if she like to wash our clothes. Find out she never washed our clothes because of the bed bugs. She just threw them in the dryer. My kids clothes still have sticky stains on their clothes and all of our clothes. The second room we moved to refrigerator didn’t work. Our food and kids food went bad. Had to throw them away and buy new food. Another front desk lady moved us to our 3rd room thank god we only had to stay for one more night. This has been far the worst experience ever! I don’t even know the manager or head quarters know about this incident. This needs to be resolved so this won’t happen to any other family members or people who are booking at this hotel.

The description of the hotel is a bit wrong. They don't have a working hot tub or pool. The breakfast options were a bit lacking. The rooms however were super clean, fresh, great shower and the bed was wonderful with NO lumps! If you're traveling, as I was, it makes for a great place to rest for the night. It's also close to several must-see attractions.

We stayed here recently for one night. The ONLY reason we booked the hotel was because it said it had a pool. When we arrived my mother was told that no, they did not have a pool and it had been closed for THREE YEARS. If it has been THAT long, the description should be updated. We were also checked into an unclean room when we arrived and had to be switched to another. Breakfast was subpar, it's fine for what you pay for. The girl at the front desk was nice but I would never stay here again.

Positive: Staff went out of their way to make sure my stay was very comfortable for me and easy for me to manage my pets and belongings. Thank you very much! Negative: No. I think their idea of self-heat and serve breakfast is great, and allows for early travelers to get on the road much quicker. Negative: ""

Positive: Cheap Negative: Very dirty and not well maintained. Also, I was told "breakfast"(to the extent there was any) would be served at 6:00AM. I arrived at 6:20 and it still wasn't set up. There was an individual playing hard rock music FULL BLAST. Very unfriendly.
