Super 8 by Wyndham Hammond - Hotel in Hammond - 200 Westin Oaks Dr, USA

Most of these reviews are fake. The hotel is run down. I arrived on time and my room wasn’t ready until 30+ minutes after check in. The room was not cleaned at all, the counters were dirty and dusty and the lounge chair in the room was not cleaned or even moved to be cleaned, they state this is a smoke free zone but the people next to us were smoking cigarettes all night and with the draft into the room, the room quickly smelled like cigarette smoke for hours. On top of that the bathroom was not cleaned, the room paint was chipping on the walls and ceiling. The painting in front of the bed as the headboard was dusty and had old food stains in it as well. When I went to the front to complain they stated the manager was not there so they could not issue a refund and they only had downgradable rooms when we needed a king size bed. There wasn’t reassurance on a refund so i was not downgrading. On top of all of that the air did not work even after maintenance came to inspect it. In the morning i advised the manager of the issues, she stated if it was her, she would have moved rooms no matter what, well everyone is not you! There was no accountability or sympathy given to the facts and pictures i presented. The only thing she said was that she wont issue a full refund, but can do a partial one. When i started the refund process, she didn’t respond for a week and then declined the request. Don’t book here as they are dirty, sketchy, old and rundown and they just want your money to keep their doors open. If possible book with comfort inn or the holiday inn across the street. I would never recommend This super 8 location unless you are homeless, poor or facing eviction.

The front desk service was very nice, and very helpful. The housekeeping was absolutely fantastic, and our room was was in excellent condition. The restaurants are in walking distance, and Walmart is right down the road. Hammond has a lot to offer

Positive: The cleaning staff was great. We came there for a furneral staying in your hotel made things even worst. We have pictures to prove it. Negative: This hotel room needed a bathroom gut job. The first room leaked water from the refrigerator. They moved me to another room we left out for the day and came back and it was marijuana smell in the room, the refrigerator rocked . The customer service was very wonderful the rooms were very clean and housekeeping was amazing. I would highly recommend the Super 8 in Hammond, as the staff is friendly as well as the people that stay here.

Arrived at the hotel, entire place smelled like cigarettes. Got into our room and found bed bugs. Absolute nightmare, would never recommend this place. At least we got our refund.

The staff here was great and tried hard to accommodate me, the room however, i had issues. Room was clean but smelled like mildew. I had to purchase Febreeze and spray entire room to get it smelling decent. The amenities were either missing or broken: missing iron, broken coffee maker, hairdryer blew and wouldn't work, wall outlet blew: so couldn't fix hair in mirror over the bathroom sink. mattress on bed was terrible: hard, lumpy and sloped down. minifridge was very noisy. could hear thru the room walls other tenants. no instruction on access to wifi or internet. was not told breakfast times and that lacked luster, need better food selections! rooms are very outdated: decor. the hotel location was great: near stores and restaurants but not in the city, on outskirts. I chose this place because it was close to the wedding i was attending, and last minute hotel availability. if you are wanting a nice place to stay like a vacation...this aint it! if you just need a clean room and a clean place to shower...it will do!

Toilet was not working properly when flushed had difficult time getting it to stop when it was supposed to plug in to the lights were junky along with the light that were difficult to turn on the tub was dirty and looked like there tub was rusted the only thing that was good was the bed roaches near the ice machine and Alley cats near the rooms

Nice, spacious, clean rooms . Nice lady behind the desk . Just all together great experience...
