Super 8 by Wyndham Greencastle - Hotel in Greencastle - 735 Buchanan Trail E, USA

As a friend and I passed through this area, we needed a place to stay for the night. We chose this motel. The employees we encountered were very nice. The room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The room itself was very clean! The water pressure was very good. It was a good stay for us!

Marie was very nice at check in. Upon arriving at the room I wasn't sure how to turn on the air conditioning. One call to her at the desk and she told me to adjust the temp on the wall not the unit. Worked perfectly after that. Breakfast was great! Fresh made waffles , yogurt, juice , coffee and oatmeal or cereal as well as bread and mini cinnamon rolls. Room was adequate and TV had an abundance of channels. Stayed 2 nights. Right off Rt 81 easy to find. Reasonable rates so I will stay again if I need to come back to the area.

I was first impressed by how exceptionally clean this hotel was, from the lobby to the rooms. We came to Greencastle for a brief day and found ourselves having to check into a hotel for the night. Of everything that happened to us in our two days and one night staying in the area (most which left us with a desire to never return) staying here was the highlight. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and it's clear they all work hard to keep the hotel looking nice. I even got henna on my hand after being offered by the kind woman running the lobby counter. They made us feel lile family. Be advised, the beds are extra firm, which I normally don't gravitate towards, but my back felt better than it has in a while, so I have no complaints. I recommend staying here if you want a place that feels a bit like home. It was what we really needed and I can't express how much we appreciated it.

We needed a 1st floor room. The woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the coffee is good! We stay here every time we travel this way. Rates are good and they have breakfast in the morning. |We will be back

Title: Terrible Experience - Avoid This Place! I had the worst experience at Super 8 by Wyndham. The manager was extremely rude and didn't talk to us properly. The rooms were in terrible condition—dusty and poorly maintained. When we asked for an extra towel, the staff showed a bad attitude, acting as if we were begging them for a favor. Please do yourself a favor and avoid booking a stay here. It’s not worth the trouble.

EDIT: someone-I’m guessing the manager, his name is Kal I think, can’t really understand him on the phone-has called me TWICE this morning-Fri. Aug. 30th-for no reason other than to talk trash to me-the first time was bc of me wanting my $60 back and being upset about it, during that conversation he told me to “shut the f**k up,” among other things-really professional, Kal😂😂😂that call came about two hours ago. The second call just happened-he’s angry bc he saw this review. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!||||DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! They’ll tell you they’re “authorizing your card for incidentals” but will actually charge your card instead. After they charge your card, they’ll send you to a room that already has someone else in it. When you finally get into a room without someone in it, you’ll quickly find that the rooms are old and gross, the shower barely has any water pressure, the mattresses seem to have been there since the 80’s, there are bugs all over the place, it smells like something died when you turn on the AC and the sheets smell even worse. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Stay anywhere else-you’re not safe at this hotel.||||Did I mention how badly the front desk clerks wreak of body odor? Stay literally anywhere else.

At first I was skeptical, because the windows were all taped over with plastic. But they are doing renovations, and the room was very nice and clean. It was literally directly off the exit on 81. They had a pretty good breakfast, too, with cinnamon rolls and waffles, as well as cereal, toast and all the usual options.

Positive: Wasn't expecting much, so I was fine with the room. Good location for where I needed to be, the room was clean, and the bed comfortable. Negative: The rooms are very sterile, but that was fine. Just looking for a clean place to stay for a night. Negative: ""
