Super 8 by Wyndham Gallup - Hotel in Gallup - 1717 W Historic Hwy 66, USA

This place was the best hotel we stayed at this year on our vacation by far! While it may be an older building it was very clean! The beds were very comfortable and fresh. The shower was clean and very good water pressure! They welcomed our pets fora very fair price of only $10 . |The manager was so kind to us and went out of her way to help us even after we got home and found that our grandson had left his little stuffed animal there she took the time to see if she could find it for us! |I highly recommend this place for anyone passing through Gallup to make this your choice for the night!!|I’m very pleased and will stay there again .

Room was basically clean, if a little outdated (so cannot feel super clean). It was nice that there was an extra 3rd bed in our room. Hotel staff was friendly enough. Room was super hot when we arrived because the AC was not running, but it did work, and it cooled down after an hour or so. Ice machine was broken, Property felt "sketchy" when I had to go outside to let my dog out. What appeared to be husband and wife were yelling at one another in the office which could be heard in the hallway even upstairs. All couples bicker sometimes, and that's ok, but it made it feel uncomfortable to go through the lobby to go outside. Pot smell in the hallway (they can't control that, I know). Breakfast was just ok. Coffee was very poor. It felt like a place that cut corners in every possible way because they are just trying to stay afloat. The price was much higher than the stay was worth. However, we did get a good night's sleep to continue our trip, and the staff were friendly to us.

The room was very clean nice and spacious, my pet was welcome, the front desk however were less than nice, both the female and the male were very condescending treating me like a fool when I inquired about an extra charge of 20 dollars that was added saying it's a deposit which was NOT disclosed at time of registering, telling me it's online, but I spoke with a human and was not told. Like I said Rooms were clean, front desk people are very unprofessional!!!!

I booked a room for my uncle when there’s 15% off deal on the app. But the bath tub and sink are both not draining. My uncle went to front and requested to change a room, the front desk guy (Indian guy) told my uncle that he only gets cheap room since we paid cheaper price! Or he can leave, no room change! Even showed middle finger and threaten him to call police after all! My uncle is almost 60 year old man and had long day since the highway is closed! He waited five hours and finally got room and just wanted to get a nice shower and sleep! I know this is a cheap hotel and you get what you paid but doesn’t mean you get treated like this! Still paid $67! If sink and shower not draining then what else you can do at hotel? Just sleep without wash? This front desk guy is so rude and definitely can’t do his job!!! I asked my uncle took video and we definitely gona report this above until have better result!

Never again we were traveling threw and got a room for the night, we checked in went to room then went to walk back out to car after 15 minutes and noticed a terrible smell in the hall way outside our room, it was someone smoking meth! They told us they don't give refunds back after 5 minutes, and the best they could do is move our room. We asked for our money back and explained that we did not feel safe there with that allowed to happen and we had our 2 children. After telling them we would just call cops they said we would be refunded within 2rhrs... I called customer service through Wyndham to complain, and he said I needed to call my bank and hung up on me. Very disappointed

Everything about this place was great! Clean room with comfortable seating, comfortable king-size bed and pillows. Enjoyed the continental breakfast with much more than coffee and rolls. Great service and convenient to the freeway. Thanks to operators. You'll enjoy a stay here!

I really liked the room. The waffle and breakfast was okay. Coffee weakish. And the Route 66 location had noisy trains (and I LIKE trains!) and worn out neighbors... Closed, bent motels and stores. BUT the room WAS clean! And $68 (Apr 2024).

I liked this place. I would stay again. It's older, and some of the furniture is a little beat up (wobbly table), but it was a great value for the money, and fine for an overnight stay. Better than many of the other budget places I have stayed in. First, The Not so Good: They advertise a continental breakfast and a pool. Neither really up to snuff. Pool looked shut down, and breakfast was two tables in the entry door way with cereal and some muffins. I would not use either, but that's not an issue if you don't want those things anyway. No elevator for second floor if that's something you need. The Good: Room was good size. Older but too bad. Bathroom and bedding were clean and comfortable. There was a sitting space with a wing chair, as well as a work table and chairs. TV, microwave, Fridge, coffee maker were all fine. Internet was good, and heater worked great (it was snowing outside). Laundry machines available (not used). Location was quiet, with good access to restaurants. Staff lady was pleasant. This was a nice find. I would stay again.
