Super 8 by Wyndham, Florida City/Homestead/Everglades - Hotel in Florida City - 1202 N Krome Ave Take FL Trnpk S to US 1 North, USA

I was in the area from NYC to visit my father in the state hospital. Super 8 was convenient in terms of location and price. Check in was quick and easy; room was basic (no super fluffy pillows or comforter) but clean and comfortable, and it had a mini coffee maker, a microwave, a fridge, and wifi. Staff members were nice. Daily housekeeping was great. Pool was small but clean. If you’re used to fancy hotels and looking for that, this isn’t the place for you. But it’s perfect for a place to lay your head at night and have a decent shower (with hair dryer) in the morning. Plus, it’s a quick walk to the Waffle House and close to other restaurants, too.

The room had 🪳 roaches. Whenever you washed your hands, the water in the sink accumulate, it does not go down the drain as it supposed to. The toilet does not flush 😭. Had was to leave early without taking a shower because of the bathroom issues. Thank God the stay was only for one night. The front desk lady Brianna had the nastiest attitude. Thank God people got standards. Will not be staying at the Florida City location again.

Property is in good condition for its price, let’s be honest. The service I received from Rosa Castaneda at the Front Desk was beyond expected, this lady explained all the facilities and what to find in the whole area which I found very professional . My room #137 was well equipped, bed was comfortable with clean sheets… a bit dusty in some areas which is common in this type of establishments. The only issue that I found disgusting was a very stained towel that I found nicely folded among the towel set. Someone in housekeeping is not really taking care of these small details that can cause a big negative impression in the hotel guests.

I have been staying here for many years as I need a great location to be able to travel daily to Flamingo, Everglades National Park, the Florida Keys, and to Biscayne National Park. There is a sign less than a mile away that shows Key West straight ahead, Biscayne National Park to the left, and Flamingo, Everglades to the right... between kayak fishing and photography, there is no better location, or bang for your buck to see mother nature at its best. The motel attracts guest from all over the world...I met a diplomat with his kids there, last year.. I guess word gets around. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is greatness! You can tell when folks take pride in their jobs.. Hope to be back in December.

Peu habitués à la chaîne d’hôtel, nous avons été très agréablement surpris et conquis par ce Super 8. Personnel adorable et serviable, chambre confortable mais un peu humide. Très calme , nous étions loin de la route et proche de la piscine. Piscine propre et petit déjeuner varié. Possibilité de laver ses vêtements pour 2$ par machine. Une très belle adresse avec de nombreux restaurants autour.

Positive: Nothing in particular. Negative: The location was odd for me. When I was booking I didn't know florida city was several miles away from Miami. I regretted that very much. I couldn't go out for the first two days I got there. It was stressful moving around. Unrefundable reservation.

Positive: check in staff she was fantastic and very communicative, gave me a nice room in quiet part. but next morning I had horrible experience when I saw a helpless puppy tied alone on short rope to a car on your property across street but had no help from staff Negative: sunday morning 8.30 am I found a puppy alone tied on short rope to a black car door on your property located across the street. I told the frontdesk & showed him picture of dog & car, he said he will contact his manager for help but nothing was done. Negative: ""

We stayed overnight here. Lovely place and the pool was a bonus. Room was neat and clean. Great place in the middle for Everglades while we were on our road trip to Key West.
