I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable clean room. My bed was really cozy, though the comforter was lightweight. The AC worked really well too. The staff was helpful. One night after hiking all day I didn't get back until 10pm. There wasn't a single parking space open so I let the staff person at the front desk know and she moved her car so I could have a spot. The coffee was delicious and the sauna is the best I've experienced. I would stay here again. This is a budget hotel and you feel that. It is clean though and since I was only there to sleep it was more than what I needed.
I would like to start off by saying Katie was nothing short of amazing. After a mishap at the super 8 in Superior, she came through and got us into her last room. The room was very clean and spacious! The location is great, it's close to everything. If you're looking for a place to stay when you're in the area I would highly recommend this hotel!
Enjoyed a restful weekend. However, a few things would have made this better. The front desk needs to be remodeled, it's pretty outdated. The breakfast could include a waffle maker, this is very popular at other hotels. Rooms could use new carpeting. My room, #222, was fine but rooms 220 and 223 need new carpeting. It was weird having to be put on a waiting list to use the spa/ sauna area. No pool so I wouldn't recommend to families with kids under 13. Plenty of tv channels. Nice to have coffee/tea available day or night. Customer service was nice and friendly. I would recommend staying here as long as one doesn't expect super fun and if you're just needing a place to lay your head for the night.
Positive: The hotel staff were very helpful. I arrived very tired and needed some extra help as I was working in my room during he day mostly and they were all kind and considerate. AC worked very well! Negative: I stayed there for 5 days & nights when I needed to be in Duluth for the week. The price was a major factor for me and I felt that the rooms and service were very good for a Motel of this class, so no except some flat pillows for side sleepers.
We had a nice stay at the Super 8 in Duluth. The bed was very comfortable and the front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is that the hotel didn't seem to be very close (walking distance) to dining or entertainment, other than a ballpark. However, it's a short drive to the downtown entertainment area and quite easy to get to the interstate on/off. Recommend.
This is a budget hotel that succeeds at being a budget hotel. Rooms were clean and surprisingly updated. We were greeted by a friendly staff and there was a good breakfast in the morning. This hotel was all I could ask for for the price.
We arrived after 11pm and the ladies at the front desk were pleasant. The room had a horrible spoiled milk odor. The A/C wall unit was plugged into an extension cord labeled " A/C ONLY" and the bathtub was dirty.
We were given a new room the next morning for nights 2&3. However, even though our complaints were fixed, the room still had an odor and was told it was an "odorizor" and would go away. I couldn't sleep in my bed because when I pulled down the covers, the bedding was dirty.
The stairwells smell like dogs and the dogs were on both 1st and 2nd floors. Seems like a good place for dog owners but not an ideal place for someone with animal allergies.
The breakfast items need to be heated and there is only one microwave.
Parking is scarce after dinner hours.
There is a Perkins and a Holiday gas station nearby.
I wanted to like this place. Great staff, clean, pet friendly. But my room smelled like every dog that had passed through it. No amount of deep cleaning the carpet is going to get rid of the musty odor that I endured for 2 days. Pet friendly rooms shouldn't have carpeting.
We had an incredible stay and loved that it was in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood - there were lots of shopping and breweries within close walking distance. The room itself was amazing, very spacious and stylish and we felt right at home.

Oh my gosh.....the Speakeasy Suite is a DREAM! The bathroom is beyond amazing and it is the nicest room I have ever stayed in. The mansion is beautiful and well cared for. There is no doubt we will be back again and again. Love this place - A+++
Hostel du nord is the place to be! Wonderfully welcoming employees. These guys smile the brightest and hug the warmest. Always know which direction to point you in for good food. Rooms are always clean. And workers are always in the mood for a great
My wife and I stayed here for 1 night. We're locals. This place blew us away. We were in one of their Junior Suite King Bed Bay View rooms. It's not a "fancy" hotel, but it was very clean and well maintained. It has so many little touches that show t
Wild State Cider has so many delicious options to choose from! Hands down one of my top favorite cidery. So delicious! I didn't try them but they also have a variety of THC infused beverages if that's more your thing!
