Super 8 by Wyndham College Park Wash DC Area - Hotel in College Park - 9150 Baltimore Ave, USA

I am mad at myself that I did not research this hotel fully before making this reservation, but upon arrival the room was musty smelling. The carpet was old I thought, well I can deal with this but when we came back after our concert at night , it was a whole different vibe. There was broken glass in the parking lot. There were people smoking weed in the parking lot. It was very strong. It was late so we was already tired so I just wanted to go to bed, then I noticed roaches crawling up the wall, not one but several and our room smelled like cigarette smoke really bad like somebody was there. We made the decision to check out. We got a hotel down the street Holiday Inn Express, luckily they had a couple rooms left. I happily paid for the room for the night even though I knew I wasn't getting my money back from the other place but there was no way I could stay there! The pictures are very deceiving and they say they have breakfast but I only seen one little area by the front desk and it was a very small counter space so I would not bet on the breakfast there. Just don't do it! Not worth the savings just go to the better hotel.

There were roaches.. I actually had to kill roaches in the room. Took 2hrs to check in, as the girl at the front desk wasn't trained in how to process payments booked by a 3rd party by my company. It really was a horrible experience. Please book someplace else if you can. The place was very dirty. There shouldn't be smears on the photos, or blood on the pillow cases. The smell was moldy.. I'll let the pictures I took, tell the rest of the story. I kept telling myself that I only had to tough it out until 2am for my flight.

Positive: It was close to the University of Maryland. The bathroom was clean and seemed a little more updated. The hotel was quiet. Negative: The hotel was in poor condition. As soon as I walked in it smelled old. The carpets were very dirty and the room had quite a few places where the paint was peeling or the furniture was dinged. The "breakfast" that they advertised was prepackaged bagels.

It is around 3.5 km away from the University campus. The location is good. Hotel rooms are also fine and spacious. But the rooms smell while entering first. It is not maintained properly. The door locks are horrible. You have to try several times to open it. Breakfast is very poor. Only doughnut bread and small cupcakes are there with some beverages. No non-vegetarian options are there. You will get bored after a day. It should be improved. Otherwise rating will go below average soon. There is AC, TV, Microwave, freeze, study table, coffee maker and a hair dryer in the room. The bathroom is good, there is a small bath tub. But they provided a small soap bar and small shampoo only, no conditioner no face wash, and no tooth paste. Another most important thing is the reception. It is very small and only one receptionist was there. She is not welcoming, very rude and unprofessional. Immediately change her with a new polite professional person. The wifi connection is very weak. It should be modified as soon as possible. It is very essential for foreigners.

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had! The reviews are not lying. Hotel staff unfriendly. Breakfast was nothing but dry muffins and bagels. They have roaches! I booked through Priceline and I told them my experience and they told me because the hotel didn’t approve my refund that I couldn’t get a refund. I recommend not booking with Priceline because of course the hotel would deny my refund duh. Priceline should have had a better option for me. Not just I’m sorry they didn’t approve your refund. Because even though I told the hotel they had roaches, the women in the yellow shirt looked at me like I ain’t said nothing. They need new management soon or I will be calling a health inspector. If I could give them a zero star I would. The carpet was old. The room smell old. And the walls are disgusting. I encourage people to read these reviews. They make it hard to get your money back.

Do not stay here, pictures and good reviews are false. Roaches, room smells like cigarette smoke. Broken glass and heavy weed smoking in parking lot. I couldn't stay the night, checked in to The Holiday Inn Express down the street. 100% better, just don't do it!

Positive: I had read very negative reviews from 2023 so, was nervous about staying here. I was pleased with what I found. The staff was pleasant and the room clean. For a hotel at this cost it was a good experience. Negative: I couple cigarette burns on carpet, blanket and air unit. They have a strict no smoking policy which is probably new. Negative: ""

Positive: I didn't have to pay an incidental fee (because their system was down) and continental breakfast Negative: The staff was extremely rude, especially the cleaning staff; the cleaning staff was literally "cleaning" on the second floor all day during my second day there. WiFi was horrible.
