Super 8 by Wyndham Blackwell - Hotel in Blackwell - 1014 W Doolin Ave, USA

Absolute worst hotel! Traveling 10+ hours from Texas.. Booked my NON SMOKING room with 2 queen beds, received a literal ashtray of a room with only one bed that had sheets with burnt holes! I was told we would be refunded the difference I paid for the 2 beds, but didn’t receive it. My family member who also booked a non pet room with 2 beds, received 1 bed and sheets were stained with what looked like blood & were covered in dog hair. The room smelled awful and upon walking in found a flea on her leg! Went to the front desk not even 10 minutes after paying for the rooms just to find out there were NO REFUNDS! While looking at the rooms a man (who I’m guessing is part of the front desk) comes in with no shoes, a really stained muscle shirt asking for my signature on a paper for the front desk. All this at 1:30 in the morning, so we had to accept our loss and look for another hotel after just paying for the 2 rooms! Would highly recommend sleep inn just down the road! For about 20$ extra you get a really nice room, no fleas, no smell, and definitely no blood!

I made reservations through Wyndham for an entire week. The staff were not what you'd expect but other than them and owner refusal to refund the 6 nights I couldn't stay. They seemed nice when you could find them. But one night cost me $638. So beware. ||||I'm a Disabled Veteran and the bathrooms were so small, I began having anxiety issues. The bathroom had mold on wall above tub and you had to mess with toilet handle for it||||I can say they were trying to have clean rooms. But between whatever cleaning chemicals they were using, the incense to cover up the marijuana and cigarette smells. Which doesn't always work. Both my grandaughter and I were getting headaches, this just contributed more to anxiety. The stress all of the injuries I have the pain intensified I had no choice but to leave.||||Sucks that the owner refusal to refund the nights I couldn't stay. Even caused a financial difficulty. I initially stayed there because I was moving to Blackwell. In order to make sure other veterans don't have happen to them. Now I'm in my new home. Every person I meet in Blackwell and Kay county knows to stay away. You're better off sleeping in your vehicle. I'm also warning the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, AARP and any one associated with military and Veterans to stay away from Super 8. Especially this one. And Wyndham because they are even refusing a refund. And they brag about honoring military. That's Bull.

I booked on booking site, did not pre-pay, just reserved it, lucky I did not pay!! Upon walking lobby, smelled of smoke and Hot. I asked to see room prior to signing anything. Clerk took me to room, it was 102 outside, guy said owner keeps air conditioner off in the hallways. Walked into room, AC off , room was oven like the hallway. Smelled of smoke. Bed spread had cigarette burn holes,multiple. Smoke detector ripped off wall, lying on shelf. Bathroom was stained and dirty. Towels were stained looked dirty. Overall I don't think I have seen a worse hotel. When we got to lobby, another clerk was on the phone explaining that they WOULD NOT REFUND for any paid for room. Clerk was wearing dirty ,stained wife beater t-shirt with no bra. I told them to cancel my reservation, she said No Refunds, I made reservation without purchase. I smiled and left. ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE MOTEL I HAVE EVER SEEN. I DON'T CARE HOW CHEAP THE RATE IS DRIVE ON! WYNDEM HOTELS .. YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO HAVE YOUR NAME ON THIS PLACE!

It's nasty. You would be better off sleeping on the sidewalk in front of this motel. My daughter and I stayed and she had blood on her pillow and I had some sort of used bandage under my blanket. Front desk clerks smell awful and their attitude was the same. This place is just really nasty. Not just dirty but nasty. DO NOT STAY HERE!! I WOULDN'T STAY AGAIN IF SOMEONE PAID ME!!!!

The dirtiest place I’ve ever seen. The beds aren’t clean. The bathroom is dirty. All the linen is stained. The toilet wouldn’t flush unless you hold the handle down for a full minute. The entire place reeks of cigarette smoke and chemicals, and I got a “non-smoking” room. There is no “breakfast item”, as advertised. Not that I would have fed my kids anything that was offered there if it was. There’s weird things going on there.

It's not the absolute nicest place you could stay, but it fits the minimum requirement that it is not inherently filthy, the air and bathrooms work and there's no creepy crawlies in the beds. The locks could use replacement, but they could be argued as more secure, since they are harder to get into lol The managers seem to get a lot of flack in the other reviews, but after my stay, I'm positive that those are based more on the appearance of the people than the people themselves. They do not have the "traditional" hotel manager look about them, as they dress like normal people instead of in semiformal wear, but they seemed to be perfectly fine people, as they let me and my young daughters hang out after check-out while we waited for our car to be repaired 400 miles from home. They gave them snacks and drinks and seemed perfectly hospitable in my opinion

Roaches. Found dead roaches in the room immediately upon entering the room. A pile of fingernail and toenail clippings behind the nightstand. Dirt and debris including food and trash all around room. The smell of mildew and mold linger in the air. I found the room in this state and went back to the front desk where the owner said he would issue a refund. A day short of 2 weeks later and have not seen any refund whatsoever. Have called nearly everyday since inquiring with no resolve. I have timestamped photos but sadly cannot share them here.

By far worst experience of hotel I have ever had could not have been worse unless it was pumped full of sewage. Wasn't in the room 5 minutes. Absolutely refused to return my money.
