Super 8 by Wyndham Amsterdam - Featured Reviews (451)
This motel is very clean quiet and remodeled with new beds new tvs and a mirror in the bathrooms with makeup light. Everyone we have encountered has been super helpful from the cleaning staff to the manager. In the room is a desk lighting air conditioner microwave and refrigerator!! Ethan was so sweet handling our reservation! All in all we love the comfort and the convenience of the motel with Dunkin right next door along with a mini market. Outdoor picnic area is awesome 👏 even with cookers. Come and see for yourself. |Thank you
This is a great place to stay! It’s right off the highway, they have free breakfast (Egg sandwich, muffins, Coffee, and juice.) I really only have one complaint, the TV remotes are soooooo confusing! The staff were very nice. There are NO bedbugs (saw in a previous review). If you are looking for a place right off the highway that has a good value, I would highly recommend that you check this Super 8 in Amsterdam out!
Rooms are very nice and clean. Service was not at all what I expected or look forward to when traveling. Man at desk was cold, no communication or help. I'm elderly and disabled and my son was in a rush to his air b&b to get ready for rehearsal as my daughter married today. My son assisted with my things to my room and it took forever to get checked in even though our group reserved our rooms in advance. My room wasn't cleaned which was fine as I'm clean and made my bed and straightened up, but that means no new towels as well.
Positive: The room was clean and had been updated semi-recently. Negative: The location isn?t the best. It sits right on the Thruway (noise) and a mile from most amenities in Amsterdam. These aren?t deal breakers, but you should be aware of these things.
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel, since we had read some recent reviews that weren't very good. The sign at the entrance had fallen down, making it a bit difficult finding the entrance, but everything else about our stay was great. The room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable. There was a microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room. There were egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches and other foods for breakfast. The coffee was hot and tasted fine, there was real cream. For a basic hotel, it had everything we needed.
I stay in hotels an average of 6 times a month. For the bad, there's no coffee in the room or in the lobby during the night. The remote control for the TV is so bad you have to manhandle the buttons. The TV is pre-programmed to only go to 25db on volume and also programmed to shut off after a few hours. The other disappointing fact is they put a $100 charge on top of the booking fee that will not be returned to you for up to 48 hours after the room is cleaned and the owner OKs it to be released. For the final killer on this review, the motion light in the bathroom can't be left on so you can find the bathroom in the dark because remember the TV shuts off while you're sleeping. The room was clean and I would have had a good night's sleep if the TV didn't keep shutting off and waking me up.
I stayed here overnight on the way to NYC. Although it was a short stay, I enjoyed the service, cleanliness, and the room itself. It's a good hotel for the given price. The only comment I have is that the Google Maps navigated us to the back side of the hotel where there is no access to the hoteI. It can be challenging in the late evening, especially if you are here first time. Just FYI.
We stayed here one night. The young lady who checked us in was very nice. The room smelled musty and both my wife and I had allergic reactions. Ice machine was broken, and they really don’t have breakfast. The driveway is a dirt road, and if you choose to stay here, don’t follow Google Maps, it will get you lost. Use Waze and you will get there.
What a perfect little diner. Exactly what I want from an independent small place. I ordered eggs over easy and a side of corned beef hash. The waitress immediately asked if I wanted the eggs on top of the hash. Well, of course! But nobody ever asks t
The food was really good, a huge jump from when they first opened. I was actually really surprised. The service was even better, our server was friendly, attentive and the food came out quickly. The dirty thighs are delicious. I always considered thi
Arguably the cleanest pizza place in town along with great tasting wood fired pie. Crust was bite through and had great maillard reaction on the dough. The cheese had great leoparding. Chicken wings weâre also cooked great. Mild sauce made in

It's really a great hidden gem. The food was outstanding. Lasagna was absolutely the best ever, and we have experienced lasagna from coast to coast. Spaghetti was simple yet elegant and not overpowered by spices or tomato flavor, just a beautiful ble

Perfect tables. Nice bar and grill food. The only thing that different was Michelob light instead of Michelob ultra. But I'm probably in the minority with that. LoL
Clean, family friendly, nice bar with reasonable prices, reasonable bowling prices too. Great fries, not good burgers. Also, the monitor displays how fast your ball was moving, which is fun!⦠but not good for your score.
