Sunshine Inn Motel - Lodging in Coral Gables - 4871 W Flagler St, USA

This property is a rip off. Don't waste your money here. I should've known that by the forementioned truck with the flat tire that's still sitting outside. Upon my arrival to the motel it was in a rough neighborhood/area. The "front office" was closed at 9am, no one in site, no messages, no phone numbers posted to contact anyone. Luckily one of the residents that lives in the motel saw us standing there looking lost and helped by calling the owner. The outside looked ran down and vacant I can only imagine what the inside was like and at that point didn't want to wait around as we feared for our safety. The owner did not want to let us Check in early because apparently the room was already occupied and no one there to clean it so we just booked a more appeasing room and the owner refused to refund us knowing the motel was trash. If the just wanted my money that's all he had to say smh. Would never book here again and please don't waste your money.

The fridge was not working upon arrival; but we didn't notice. We bought a chicken and had to throw it away because it was room temperture the next day. The manager would not give a discount, and argued the fridge was working, but never came to check. EXTREMELY bad service. They would not even speak to me directly on the phone.|It was very insulting.

Motel is very old and run down be careful using your card they’ll try to charge u more than once or charge you more no one speaks English there they have lots of ROACHES in the rooms it was a disgusting experience roaches was even in the refrigerator RATS running around they didn’t have a microwave in the room you had to use it outside sometime it was dirty.

This is a location perfect for sleeping. Meaning, if you are looking for particular accommodations will you will not find that here. The communication is where it is lacking the most, if you don't know Spanish. The lady on the grounds is very sweet and speaks very minimal English. There are no phone systems to make contact in the rooms and if she answers and language is an issue than stop there. They do not replenish or clean the rooms so you will have to consider that as you move about and getting more if needed. The stay was fine for me because my trip required the minimum, but if you seek a little more taste, then don't come here. If you want bang for your buck and a convenient location, this is perfect. Booked through price line for 88 dollars a night had cancel so I was like ok we out 88 then they charged us over 300 dollars for not even staying there. Would not recommend this place

It was clean. We asked for a blanket and they provided one. It was not like staying at typical hotel. TV channel selection is limited to just antenna local channels. There was no one to call on if there was something you needed which was interesting. We stayed there super bowl weekend and it cost more than usual. Check in and check out were fine.

This was our last resort. It was ran down nasty the people at the desk dont speak any english. There are no phones in the rooms. The sheets had stains all over them. The beds had no headboards. The floor was nasty. we didnt even shower in there cause the bath tub was so gross. The sink was rusted out. The door had no safe lock on it. the tv had only two channels and one was spanish. if u have a choice i wouldnt stay there

The ladies deserve a credit for doing a great job making clean my room. But, the motel is much overpriced for what it delivers. The flat tires of the truck (in the attached photo) will ad a few words on the guests and the neighborhood.
