Sunset West Hotel, SureStay Collection by Best Western. - Hotel in Los Angeles - 7212 Sunset Blvd, USA

Very cute and clean, and the free breakfast was a bonus (eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee and more)! They also offer free parking, though space is tight. We checked in late in the evening and there were no parking spots left, but without hesitation, the hotel’s very friendly security guard moved his car so we had a place to park. Unfortunately Corey, the person at the front desk for the next two days, was far from friendly. Long story short, he rudely laughed at me when I asked for help with a plugged up sink, and the next day, he pounded on the door and aggressively demanded we move our car. Apparently we were in overflow parking without knowing—a simple “please move your car” would have been no problem. When I asked to speak to the manager, he said he was the manager, before admitting otherwise. Would definitely rate our stay a 4/5 without this poor customer service experience. Everyone else was very nice.

Arrived early, room was available but the staff requested $50 for early check in, we declined. ||Great location, 15-20mins walk to Hollywood walk of Fame, 20 mins drive to Universal Studios. Ralph, a supermarket is across the road, very convenient. A stop for the Big Bus/city hop on hop off is around 3-5mins walk.||There were many spaces for covered parking and they were free.||The security guards were nice and helpful. The staff refilling the breakfast room was very attentive and friendly.||Breakfast room was small but the food overall was good. We love the waffles.||We got a room downstairs, luckily no window to the main road so it wasn’t noisy. However, the ceiling was thin, we could hear people above walking heavily and running around, we both got woken up during the night. ||The room was big but the bed was small for a king size, not sure if we actually got king. There were spiders in the closet and bathroom, we just left them alone. ||

Arrived early. General Manager allowed us early check in. Room was well maintained. Recently renovated. Didn’t use the pool but it looked really inviting. Breakfast was good but lacked healthy cereal options. Was situated only 15 mins from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and metro station which made getting around LA easy. Had no issue with car parking and the security guard on at night made it a safe stay.

We stay just one night. Room comfortable (we were 6 pax) and clean. Clean pool open till 9:30 pm. Quick check in and check out. Free parking. Located near the walk of fame (less than 10 min walk) and near supermarket . Good Breakfast the only thing to improve is the space for breakfast that was not enough when more than 10-15 guests are in.

5 stars means we had no issues, felt safe, pleasant accommodating staff, walkable to Hollywood Blvd activities, restaurants and grocery store across the street. Pool was refreshing, would have liked it to be heated and available at least until 10pm. Noticed a security guard at night which was comforting since there are many homeless and uncertain characters in the area. Parking is tight and a challenge especially in evening. We were able to back in Toyota minivan in carport but that took some maneuvering. Staff was super nice and allowed us to move rooms so we could be right next to each other. Breakfast was decent.

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans cet hôtel parking gratuit ce qui est rare à LA Les chambres supérieures sont top le ménage est fait chaque jour (pas toujours le cas à LA) et c’est super propre. Le personnel est aimable et serviable. Bon le quartier n’est pas très accueillant (sdf) mais l’hôtel propose un vigile tout le temps et il est bien placé pour visiter Los Angeles 🇺🇸 Le seul petit point auquel j’aurai à redire c’est la piscine qui devrait être nettoyé chaque jour. Je recommande 🇺🇸

The actual hotel is cute with a little swimming pool, good sized rooms and a decent price. But I wouldn’t stay here again. The shower only went hot if you left it running for at least 15 minutes. And then the water pressure was really low so you couldn’t have a decent shower. The air con was so noisy that you had to turn it off at night. The hotel is very noisy as there is no soundproofing between rooms. You can hear every word being said in the rooms next to you. Makes it very difficult to sleep. The room stank of really strong cleaning products. Not pleasant. There was a fight in the courtyard during one night and the security didn’t seem to do anything about it. The area is not safe anymore and I would avoid it next time. It felt dangerous walking around at night and early morning. Very disappointed as this used to be a great place to stay.

Above expectation for this ”range” of hotels. 10 min walk to buzzing Hollywood Walk of Fame, a supermarket across the street and a straight and easy 30 min drive to the beach. Pool was lovely. Although my son and I were out all day every day it was a wonderful stay. We had such a good time. Come with a good attitude and enjoy!
