So peaceful & quiet. Perfect place to take your little ones in the day or evening. Do friendly
Huge play equipment, a large green area for open area sports, ocean view from a few spots, and off the beaten path. It's a great park! We enjoy going here when we are in the area.
Cool park. Slats are small so the kids can't fall! Sand box, yot lot, swinds, rock climbing, lots of slides big and small, grassy field and hill, picnic tables. Really anything you want in a park.
My kids (4 and 8 yo) thought the play structure was awesome. The bathrooms though, were horrible -- the light fixture kept blinking, the door wouldn't close all the way shut, and there was no sink/soap for washing hands. I should have read other reviews more carefully before visiting this park.
Sunset park has a lot to offer. Ample free parking available, large open grass area, several benches and bbq’s, nice view, large playground for tots and big kids, bathrooms that are kept clean, dog friendly as well with plenty of trash cans for disposal. A lot of trees to provide shade in most areas. All in all it’s a great park, one that myself, my daughter and our dogs love to go to weekly.
We love this park. Nice shade over baby swings, which isn't very common. Has great playgrounds, perfect for kids of all ages. My kids love the treasure hunts on the playgrounds. They recently put in new teeter totter, don't see those very often. Great sand area with two little houses in sand. Great grassy field. Dog park at the back of park is nice, my kiddos love to go by and see the dogs. Park goes back a ways-cute little bridge past basketball courts. Bbqs great, lots of parties on weekends. Bathrooms though, gross.
Small neighborhood park that has a big play area for kids, well maintained, clean, and not too crowded at all on the weekdays.
There are a lot of dog owners that walk around the park. There are doggie bag dispensers at every corner and a trash can within walking distance of anywhere in the park. It's a very clean park with respectful dog owners. Most people here are nice and neighborly.
There are bathrooms, grills for barbecue, and picnic benches. It's a nice little park in a quiet neighborhood. If you're looking for a nice place to run, this wouldn't be it. It's too tiny, unless you call a 3 minute run a completed workout. You can walk around the park in about 5 minutes. Also, there are two pokestops and a gym.
Great park. Lots of room to play between the grass field and playground. It does have a bathroom but no sink. There are a few tables to sit at.

Great place for a walk with some areas for viewing the ocean side. The walking trail at this park is a switchback and very relaxing. The grass areas are a slope but can be walked on for some serious decline/incline workout. I saw some people being th
Such a wonderful park and beach!
It seems to be quieter than others in the area and has a nice big (free) parking lot at the entrance. There are washrooms and a rinse off station in the parking lot and a couple of different access points to the beach
I stopped in Dana Point to watch the big waves that Southern California was getting at the end of Dec 2023. I couldnât of asked for a better location to capture photos while playing it safe (chose not to park at the beach but up above at the Gazebo
Pay entry fee online, clean beach (little litter like a crushed coke can and lots of seaweeds), lots of people playing volleyball on ð courts, many ðââï¸ ð ðââï¸ hang out mostly near Second Spot, which is just a bit morth of the
The coaches at this studio (Alex, Courtney, Emma) are amazing and while itâs still a group class, they still take the time to walk the room and pay attention to make sure everyone is following the correct posture during the workout and doing it cor
Great place for the family. Walk along the marina, have lunch or ice cream! You can go kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or whale watching! Visit the Ocean Institute, learn about the tall ships docked at the learning center. Or just watch the waves
Wonder nature reserve to check out. Everything is very natural. The atmosphere was very calm and collective. I love how they are trying to protect all of the amazing wildlife that surrounds Dana point. Snakes, birds, and mice all inhabit the area, a
Awesome views!
Itâs a great place to take a stroll, learn a little California history, sit on one of the benches and take in views of the harbor and marina below, or watch the sunset.

Great place for a couple good pints. Three of us visited and tried a blonde, and IPA, a fruited sour and an imperial stout. We liked them all. Great flavor on the imperial stout!
