From start to finish a great stay! Very good customer service right from the start. The room was very clean, and I am picky! Everything worked properly. The bed was comfortable compared to most hotels. It was an all around good stay and I will stay here again in the future!
We stayed in a 3 bed room and were very happy with the layout and how much space was in this room. It is very dog friendly (we had 3 dogs) and a fully fenced in dog park about a mile away. It is on a major busy highway and we thought it would be quite noisy but when in the room, we could not hear much traffic. Two out of the three beds we’re comfortable enough… the third felt like there were rods under it. The room was extremely clean and decent linens. I believe the motel was renovated in the past couple years. The only downside which was remedied by the owner was the room was over 90 degrees when we checked it. Initially the front desk person said that housekeeping must have turned it up by accident. We left for a bit and came back only to have it still quite warm. We turned the air on and opened the windows and left again.. we got back and it had cooled down and by this time the owner was there and said something on the boiler heating system had stuck in our room. He was very gracious and said he would take care of us if there was still temperature issues. We had none and our nights sleep was very nice. The check out time is 11:00 while most places is 10:00. Having that little extra window of time was nice. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Well kept motel. Drive up entry. Good for an overnight stay or extended stay. Beds and bathroom were clean and nicely updated. We could not adjust the thermostat above 64 degrees, but the room was plenty warm and at a comfortable temp on this chilly fall day. We only stayed one night as we were just passing through the area. The motel is on a main road, so you will hear light traffic, if that is a concern. The host was very nice and accommodated our late arrival (after 10:00 pm) by leaving our room keys in a lock box outside of the office. I would recommend, and would stay here again. Miami 84
Our room was very clean. We were traveling with our dog and there is a nice big grassy area behind the motel to walk your dog. The Family Inn restaurant that is next to the motel had great food, everyone was so nice, and very welcoming. Thank you for a great stay and we will be returning in the future.
Had everything we needed. Beds, CLEAN sheets and towels, clean floors, mini-fridge, microwave, easy parking AND they allow dogs! Really loved how clean the place is, including the area behind the motel where I walked my dog. Communication was outstanding—I was contacted twice regarding the check in time! Impressed by the personal effort put forth! I would stay here again! OH, and impressively sound proof. The motel is on the highway, but did not hear it at all! Couldn’t hear neighbors either!
Check-in was easy. The room was basic but very clean and looked to be newly renovated with an updated bathroom and flooring. Bed was comfortable. Highway noise was minimal. Hair dryers and irons are kept at the front desk.
My wife and i loved this older motor court style motel. We had just come from Mackinac Island and actually enjoyed this room more that our room at the lovely inn where we stayed there, as there was much more room at the Sunset Lodge. Our room was very updated, with nice vinyl plank flooring and the bathroom had a spa-like shower and the towels were some of the most plush towels i have ever had at any hotel of any 5 star or better rating. The beds were comfortable, and there was a nice refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave in the room. Check in and out was easy and the girl at the desk was so friendly and helpful. This was just off of a main room so there was a little traffic noise early in the morning, but nothing too bad.
Friendly staff and quiet room, but right on very busy highway and truck noise kept us up all night. Room was clean. Very convenient if driving through. Close to nice family restaurant, but for dinner after 8, it’s only fast food options
