The manager Jimmy is friendly. Although the building is old, they are able to keep the room clean and roomy. Price is affordable & enjoy the stay.
I had to find somewhere to stay for a couple of months till I cold decide where I was going to move to. So i went to this place a friend of mine had told me about. The rent was reasonable and it was a newly remodeled room. I was a little skeptical at first but after a night or 2 I felt really comfortable. Everyone was really nice. It was like a family. Everyone checked on each other and made sure you were ok. I was amazed at how good of a job the owner did at keeping it clean and keeping people from loitering in the parking lot at night. Very nice tv and comfortable bed. Small fridge and microwave. It was within walking distance to the local stores. I would highly recommend staying there to anyone. I hated to leave but hope to go back and visit soon. Thanks for the kindness. Jimmy the owner is such a nice man.
We stayed here for 1 night on the drive to LA, we checked in late and the lady was quite friendly but the room was disgusting, the bed sheets were dirty and the over all cleanliness was terrible, it was a cheap hotel although you would still expect it to be reasonably clean. Breakfast was supposed to be included but we were not given any details of this when we checked in and didn't bother with it after seeing the state of the room, the toilet also blocked up at one stage and we had to wait for the water to eventually go down, I would definitely not stay here again.
One word: roaches. They were all over our room to the point where it would be called an infestation. The staff was nice enough after the manager change, but the rooms were badly kept. The door to the bedroom area wasn't even attached to the frame when we got there! It was a terrible few months living there and I do not recommend it. Like, ever.
This is a excellent place to relax and unwind if you like to travel. The manager is a real sweetheart; she really enjoys working at sunset. Everyone is very nice, and we are a one big family. Everyone treats everybody with respect and honor.
Stayed here one night on the way to Vegas. The rooms are clean, but you shouldn't stay here if you have particularly allergic skin (meaning that you would avoid bedsheets at Days Inn or HoJo's normally).||||The area is quiet, but the neighboring guests (or their friends) were basically up all night long. You can't trash the place when you are paying the cheapest room night rate for a Barstow area hotel, and to its credits, it's not a roach motel either.||||Would I do it again? Heck no, but only because I would drive straight past Barstow to Vegas regardless of how jet lagged or tired I am!
A great side trip from the main road to see some cool rock formations. The off-road trail was easy to drive, and the colors and scenery were amazing. It's a nice, quiet place to explore and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
I usually find roads to be just that, but Route 66 is different. It feels melancholy, wistful. It makes me think of all the hopes, dreams, and individuals that traveled it going somewhere in search of better futures. Worth a visit, a pull over, and a
I am addicted to Mexican food and La Mesa is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The food is incredibly delicious. Street tacos had a lot of additions and well-seasoned meat. Sopapilla is also heavenly. If you're nearby, be sure to t
Absolutely a home town, mom and pop vibe. Loved that everyone who came in and out knew each other. And whatâs better is the food. Ordered the carnitas empanadas and sopes Al pastor. Just delicious. Meat was wonderfully tender, didnât need salsa
