Sunset Inn & Suites - Hotel in Clinton - 1251 Kleeman Rd, USA

I have been here more than once. But this time was the worst I have seen it. The pool had so much hair floating in it you couldn't get it without being covered in it. The hot tub had a lot of stuff floating in it also. Unsure of what it was though. The room wasn't too bad other than shower took forever to drain. As in the tub was almost full when I was done with my shower.

Worst hotel ever!!! Smoke smoke smoke. Overpowering smell of cigarettes in all bedding and room in general. Very confusing rate on room . An additional 120 was added to my room for the night. Talked to both managers. One manager said his Customers were repeat customers, and they knew to bring their own pillows and blankets. Not for that price lol. Not sure how you get repeat customers like that. Never had this much trouble with a hotel and I work on the road!

Too smokey to stay. Outer space room. Left after 2 hours. We tried to make it work and sat in the hot tub for a bit. Couldn't take it. Owner would not refund our money or let us reserve a different room another night. Some of the reviews are nice but if you don't like what you get the owner would rather keep your money than work with you.

Unfortunately less than impressed. We stayed in the rainforest room (well we left and didn’t even stay the night) The room is dirty with dust everywhere. Absolutely reeks of smoke. (We went and bought air fresheners and spray and it helped nothing) The pool, deck, bar, gaming room are very nice!! We spent most our time out there because the room was awful! The Staff was nice as well. Such a shame this place could be so great if they would maintain the rooms. For 250$ most definitely not worth the price for a dirty stinky room that I couldn’t even stand to stay all night in.

Some of the affects in our room wasn’t working and the fish tank needed some cleaning. Other than that, we really love this place. Just try not to neglect small critiques and it’ll be perfect.

My boyfriend and I traveled here from the Chicago suburbs and it was nothing short of amazing! We stayed in Pearl Under the Sea and the room was awesome! It was very clean and well kept. We were entertained the whole night, as there was so much to do - Jacuzzi in our room, pool & jacuzzi open 24/7, slot video gaming room, arcade games, brand new patio, etc. Daniel checked us in and out and provided extraordinary service. He was very friendly, professional, welcoming & efficient in his work. He really helped aide in making our experience a 10/10. We will definitely be back, and cannot wait to try out all of the other different themed suites!

Definitely met our expectations!|Check in was easy as I reserved online about 2 months prior to our visit. There was a $100 deposit which I was not aware of but we got it right back when we checked out. The room we got was the beach theme. Super cute! Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. We relaxed in the hot tub for about an hour almost immediately after we put our bags down. The room included a projector to watch tv on facing the bed. I think my favorite in room feature was the shower/steam room. I could have stayed in there for hours. We didn’t swim in the pool but it looked inviting. A storm blew through that night and we didn’t even notice as we were knocked out and the room was very quiet. Breakfast consisted of drinks, cereal, and some bakery type items. Overall we give it 4.5 stars. The elevator was weird and we couldn’t figure out how to operate it, but that might just be us. A couple of the lights in the room didn’t work and the mini fridge wasn’t cold. We put our food and drinks in the freezer part. |We are already discussing which room we want to try next.

ROOMS SMELL LIKE SMOKE IT IS SOOOO BAD! I have the rainforest room, it needs updated carpets are disgusting. So dusty, hot tub should had been cleaned too. We were told as we were getting checked in the was a birthday party going they will be gone by 7:00. They did not leave until 9:00, staff asked them to leave 3 times NOTHING HAPPENED. I PAID FOR A ROOM 250$. I had a few family members come, I paid an extra 60$ just so they can swim for ONLY 40mins!!! The kids were so obnoxious, jumping in and out of the hot tub with pool noodles. Ruined my whole stay, and made my family leave. I wasted ALOT of money by coming here. There should be a limit on when children cannot be in the pool. After hours for ONLY ADULTS. This is RIDICULOUS. Birthday parties are supposed to be over by 7 o’clock. LITERALLY RUINED MY WHOLE STAY Nobody wants to get beboped around with pool noodles and kids jumping in the hottub as I’m trying to relax.
