Sunset Inn - Motel in Oroville - 1835 Feather River Blvd, USA

I cannot emphasize how awesome the front desk woman was to us, especially being willing to change our reservation for us. However the room was quite dirty and didn't smell great. The sheets had some mystery hair and there was some mysterious ashes in the bathtub when we checked the bathroom. The front desk cleaned out after we asked. The bed was covering the AC so it made the whole room hot except that one bed. We also found several dead cockroachs. It made it hard to sleep. The owners appear to have a Tesla. Pretty obvious where their priorities are. The person who helped us definitely doesn't get paid enough for what she does.

Basic Motel accomodations. It was clean, hot shower, and my dog was welcomed. I stayed one night, during a major major storm. Hardly anyone there. My one bone of contention is the price. I got the room late. You have hardly anyone there. It's a massive storm. Yet charge full price? Greedy . Not cool

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!! I highly advise anyone who is thinking of booking a room here to look else where! This place is infested with roaches! The hotel refused to refund our money, they tried to pacify us, “we’ve had it sprayed”. They quickly brushed us off and were short in responding to our request for a full refund. In the shower I found multiple roaches when I looked down. So grossed out, I screamed so loud to wake my boyfriend. There are numerous homeless people who not only sleep but defecate on and around the property, making it extremely uncomfortable to stay here. They are weird holes on the walls, ceilings, showerheads….very strange. The bedding does not look washed, the floors do not look vacuumed, pretty unsanitary….this place really needs a health inspector from the county to come in and either shut this place down or have a major OVERHAUL.

Bed was hard as a rock, pillows way too soft my head melted into them. Neighbors were quite during the night but soon as the morning hit there was screaming and yelling.

Not sure about some of the negative reviews.....but I've been here a couple of years ago and now today and I would have to say its a very pleasant place. Well painted...still nice smell of NEW, spacious, quiet.

Staff is horrible. Barely speak English and act like they can't understand you when you ask for something. Repeatedly had to call in for room service. They will ask that you wait outside. Left the room at 10am, came back at 1:30pm and they still had not done the room. Remade the beds with the same bedding. Sheets and pillow cases had hair in them. The walkways and parking lot is filled with trash and crushed beer cans. Broken bottles, cigarettes and face masks... AND more trash just everywhere. The list goes on. Horrible place to stay.

We read the reviews about the Sunset Inn and we were hesitant about booking but thought maybe they had got their act together. But no they have not. Whoever is the cleaning contractors should be sacked because the cleanliness of the room was shocking!! In the bathroom shower above the shower area were two old cakes of soap that looked like they had become part of the furniture!!! There was dust/dirt around the top of shower area. Towels were old and looking very sad. The carpet needs a decent shampoo. Microwave was dirty, there was no coffee maker.There is no excuse when you are running a business such as this to have grotty rooms. The Managers really need to lift their game. They obviously don’t understand what cleanliness means.|I do NOT recommend.
