This restaurant in Whiting, IN is a hidden gem. I ordered an egg special with bacon, hashbrowns and pancakes. It's a basic breakfast but a really good meal. My husband got the Melting Pot skillet which comes with ham, bacon and sausage and a side of pancakes. We both got a drink and the bill was only $23!!! Unbelievable price!! We usually pay at least $40 for the two of us.

THIS place is the BOMB 💣 been visiting for a couple visits now (just moved in the area) and I can honestly say…..my oh my 🥹 my favorite is strawberry waffle, scrambled eggs, or the veggie skillet!!!! Great breakfast place. Prices are reasonable considering other restaurants AND the waiters are always so kind and speedy! 🤎 thank you sunrise for bringing sunshine into my day ☀️

Excellent greetings, wonderful waitresses and great breakfast. At a great price. If you are anywhere in the area go out of your way and pay a visit to this Restaurant for a very worthwhile time. We will be back.(1-10.00)edit.

We had a group of four, and the servers were busy with large groups from the church crowd. Despite the (short) wait, our food came out very quickly and was fairly good. The hostess was pleasant, and the kitchen was quick, but our server left a lot to be desired. She mixed up my nieces orange juice for apple juice and gave her bacon rather than sausage. She didn't even apologize or acknowledge that she made the mistake. While the food was good, the only vegan option was oatmeal, so that was a major downside (although very common, especially at breakfast)

I needed to write this review, in praying that the insect problem is rectified. Up until Monday I really enjoyed this restaurant. I ordered six breakfast meals for my family and my grandson started eating his food just to identify a roach in his eggs. I immediately called the restaurant, and the lady answering the phone immediately apologized. I asked for the manager, she stated he’s was out getting supplies. I did receive a call back from him, in which he kept apologizing. I don’t want to hear a apology, I stated to him he need to get that roach problem under control. Upon looking at other reviews from other customers this has been a ongoing problem for sometime. My grandson is sick to his stomach. I know after this, I cannot/will not go back there. I really liked that place.

DISGUSTING!!! The sanitary conditions in this place is a joke. Regardless of how busy an establishment is sanitation and food safety are always first priority. I brought my elderly neighbor in for breakfast. After eating, she noticed there was a used bowl of creamer on our table. Neither one of us had creamer. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was too busy. This was not a ploy to get a free meal. I’m sure they have cameras and they can review video. There were used napkins and papers from straws under the seats and booths. Then I read another google review about a woman who had a bug in her food. I hadn’t been here in years and now I wish I had read the reviews. A bunch of uneducated young girls that work there. Whom clearly have no sense of customer service or food safety. Never again will we return. DO NOT EAT HERE unless you want someone else’s used utensils or bugs in your food.
