Cute, clean, and family friendly park. Walking trail, workout equipment, playground, tennis, & basketball courts. Nice grassy area, plenty of shade, benches, and trash recepticals. This is really a great park.
This park has pretty much been the only park my kids have known since birth. They are 7 and 9 yrs old now but this park was so close within walking distance it really felt like it was in our backyard for all these years. We have since moved so its a little farther than our "backyard" but we still find ourselves driving over to it all the time not just for the playground that it offers but also for the basketball court and the tennis courts. There is a nice big circular trail that is pretty easy to navigate, walk, ride, or however u wanna traverse it that day. For all the people with too many things on their plate and in their mind then this is the perfect park too! Just let loose and walk and don't really worry about where u are going or if ur going the wrong way. (People do tend to walk the same way as they drive a car as far as driving/walking on the right and left side. This park is pretty awesome! Oh and I forgot to mention that there is a good amount of parking on site. its located right across the street from jack in the box so after that nice workout if ur craving something maybe jack can offer some assistance. There are also little mini workout stations along the walking trail as well so you can work on the upper body as well as the lower body. The park is lit up pretty well at night but it does close at 10pm and there is a gate that the city of irving does monitor and they make sure it gets closed promptly at 10pm. There are 2 playgrounds on site: one for the smaller children and one for the older children and they both have about the same kind of play things. One thing I do wish this park had was swings but it still works well without the swings.
Very peaceful and clean!!!!
Nice big park with exercise machines sprinkled around the trail. Great place to walk dogs or to exercise. Has a basketball court and tennis court on opposite sides of the park so really good for practicing these sports. Only thing is it’s close to Jack in the Box, so it might smell like grease from time to time.
Great place for a family day out at the park. They have easy access to the restroom, dog friendly, playground for children and picnic area tennis court and work out equipment along the bike and walk trail.
Dead Grass. Looks like it is 10 degrees out not 100. 0k So it’s 100 degrees, city should water so residents don’t have to in times like these. City could always use reclaimed water. Does Texas do that? They should
I've lived in Irving for a while and Sunrise Park has greatly improved over the years. There were some times where the park seemed neglected by the city and abused by the residents but it's not like that anymore. The city has restored many of the parks features and the residents seem to be using it appropriately. I'll be going there regularly during the spring and summer to play pickup basketball, run the track, and use the workout machines.
Clean green park space Its s a nice sized little park! Just revamped...nice new basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, nice jogging/ walking trail circles entire park...also there are two stations along the trail that have built in weight benches and exercise equipment for your use! Even the water fountains work...its all just in all a great neighborhood park! Enjoy havin by it at hand.
It has a lot of the sports fields that you would expect from a park this size. Biggest challenge was that a lot of the field areas were currently saturated with water. But I found a couple really cool spots on the edges of the park where most would n
