Sunrise Motel - Motel in Seaside Heights - 202 Boulevard, USA

I'm probably being a little generous with this review, only because I've been going here since 2013 and absolutely have always loved it. The free breakfast, beach passes, and parking are great; and I really feel welcomed there by the owner. Sadly this time, I was very disappointed with my room. We came into our non-smoking room and were immediately hit with really bad smell of cigarettes, and then my boyfriend noticed that the room service guy walking around with towels was also smoking while doing it, which is VERY strange. I'm sensitive to smoke so that was not great for me. The cover on the box spring of the bed had a yellow stain on the corner and black dots, which I can only assume (hopefully) was cigarette stain. The sink in the bathroom was leaking with a soaking wet towel underneath the pipe. There was also this MASSIVE spider (not your average spider) on the wall by the TV, that we thought maybe the cleaning service would have caught the next day, but didn't so that we took care of ourselves (to be nice). Also for me, the queen bed was not as comfortable as the times we have gotten the two double bed rooms. I will admit, I didn't tell the owner about the spider or the sheet because I felt bad providing a laundry list of things, so I will take some responsibility in that. Overall, I think the rooms could use an update, I know that costs a lot of money but some improvements done gradually each year during the off season would make a big help. Honestly for me, even just a more comfortable mattress, a bit softer would go a long way. Also, a more diligent cleaning staff would definitely be appreciated. I hope this isn't seen as a negative review and more as a committed customer that would like the motel to keep succeeding. I'll give another shot to this motel next summer and hoping that I have a better experience.

Our room was cozy, comfy and it had all the amenities covered! The pool is quite clean, the distance to the boardwalk like a two min walk! The parking amazingly easy, we had beach badges included in the price when we call directly for the room, complimentary breakfast from a cafe/deli of across the street.. and above all the Sunrise Morel has Sydney, one of the family members who own the Motel, such a great guy, helped us with everything and he is beyond generous!!🤩 Thank you Sunrise Motel

Just returned from a quick two night stay, just me and my two boys, ages 11 & 12. We Felt very secure & safe the entire time. The rooms were basic, but comfortable and SUPER CLEAN. My boys thoroughly enjoyed the pool, which was also super clean. Being so close to the boardwalk and all the fun activities it offers was awesome. The staff was super friendly and helpful and really cared about our experience at their establishment. We look forward to returning.

First of all …your probably wondering how are there so many positive and negative reviews..we read all of them and thought well we will give it a chance.. we had to stay for one night because there were no other options available ..although the man at the desk was nice, and this motel is in a great location if you are walking to the boardwalk, and has free parking those are literally the only perks. Our room was filthy, while the sheets appeared clean, we had brown on the bottom mattress covers and the beds were very uncomfortable. The room smelled like mold, and the bathroom was gross, outdated and had mold on the shower curtain. My feet were literally black from walking around the room. The stove was old and we had a gross picnic table cover on the table to eat off of. I don’t typically ever leave a bad review, but with the expensive cost of one room, I didn’t want another family to have our experience. I think this could be a nice motel if they made upgrades.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Room was extremely clean and service was great. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Perfect distance from the boardwalk too. Definitely will be coming back for another stay. Thank you Sunrise!

I don’t know how I’ve been coming to seaside all of my life and never made it here !! Customer service is top notch which is what the world lacks.. making your arrival and stay a breath of fresh air and reminder of good humanity left out there is what you get at Sunrise!! Fabulous stay with clean and spacious rooms!! Extra amenities that no where else offers makes it a no brainer this is the Seaside go to!! Thanks for a great first stay we will be back !!

I recently stayed at this motel and I have to say I was very impressed by the staff who are extremely friendly. It was also the perfect location to be able to walk to the beach and was very clean. The only negative I have to say is that I wish there were curtains to darken the room a bit more but otherwise I was happy with my stay and definitely will be coming back!

My family and I recently stayed at Sunrise Motel and we had nothing but a wonderful experience. The room itself is outdated but it was perfect for my husband our three children. Hotel is located 2 blocks from the beach and boardwalk and right across the street is a restaurant w/ bar, a deli and also Charlies cheesesteak. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. Sydney the owner accommodated my want of a ground floor with no hesitation. We will absolutely be coming back next year! Thank you for the great experience at your Motel!
