Sunnyside on Center - Breakfast restaurant in Omaha - 3528 Center St, USA

Very small and quaint. Could be problematic if busy. Seat yourself, browse menu then order at counter. No pop or fountain drinks. Self serve water. Food delivered to table. No mustard, very limited butter that you fetch yourself from a condiment stand. Food was average, greeted by a very friendly female whom we never saw again during our brief meal. Cashier remained on cell phone while 3 cooks appeared very busy. A bit more than I would pay again. A one and done place for us.

Sunnyside on Center is my absolute favorite place in Omaha for breakfast. The food is full of flavor, pictured is the standard quesadilla with steak. You absolutely must get the green chili sauce, it’s made from scratch and is the best green chili sauce I’ve ever tasted. I put it on everything. The thing that sets sunnyside apart from Omaha’s numerous great breakfast restaurants is the service. Every time I’ve come in the staff is super friendly and attentive. It feels like a small down cafe in the heart of the city in the best way.

OMG, this place is fantastic! Old school diner vibe. I'm pretty sure the chorizo is homemade. The pop tarts are from a local bakery... We didn't try anything other baked goods but I'm sure they are yummy as well. The hash brown throwdown is gluten friendly (hashbrowns serve as a "bun" ). All of the items are substantial and, IMO, very reasonably priced. You can order at the counter or on your phone. In summary, highly recommend!!

Over priced with no kids menu. You have to serve yourself everything. Including grabbing your own high chair. It's a fast food style service but they flip the tablet over and ask you for a tip but they don't provide any service.

The food is always good..however when I politely asked that my cold drinks be placed in a bag is when I felt the shift in attitude. I am not sure why. The place was not packed and the young lady was only folding towels. Then when I had the nerve to ask for extra syrup for my grandson she threw the towel down to get it. The customer service was absolutely horrible. Also in the summer the cans of soda were $1.50. Now they are 3.00. You have lost a customer over deplorable customer service.

Coffee was not good. The biscuits and gravy had so much cheese in them, that I could not eat them. It was just like eating a big mouth full of cheese. Why would you put cheese in biscuits and gravy anyway? When my biscuits and gravy got to the table, there was a hair on my food, and the food was not warm enough so I had to have them remake it. This was my first time at Sunnyside, and my mother and I had sat down at a table not realizing that you had to order at the counter. We must have waited 10 minutes for a waitress, and no one ever came over to us to tell us that we had to order at the counter. There had been a sign when you walk in that said, "seat yourself," which seems to indicate to me that a waitress would be by shortly. The staff was also rude, with no apology about the hair on my food or the fact that it was cold. The blueberry muffin was extremely doughy and tasted like a box cake. I am really surprised to see that this place has almost five stars. I will not be back.

Small cute looking diner. You are able to order on your phone at the table or at the counter. Food looked good but was not to our liking at all. The sausage has a terrible smell to it that fills the diner. Tasted awful as well. Hubby and I couldn’t finish eating it. We gave it a try but don’t intend to return. Price for the food is reasonable if you end up liking the taste.

Great little breakfast spot that is super quick with fantastic service (even if it's primarily counter service) I loved how friendly the staff was when we came in. Immediately felt welcomed The decor is a little eclectic with is two types of chairs. It's small but still bright and airy feeling inside. Chorizo breakfast egg and cheese sandwich 5 stars We added the 2 hashbrowns and a drink. Think of a much better/gourmet version of McDonald's breakfast. Street corn burrito 4.5 stars Southwest burrito 4.5 stars Both were good in it's own right. The problem is, it's not mixed through so you'll get big bites of one kind of thing. If it was a bit more evenly dispersed then every bite would be amazing. They offer 10 percent discount to military, first responders etc. We appreciated that the cashier asked us instead of needing to be prompted. The only thing that was a skip for me was the biscuits and gravy. I thought the biscuit was ok, but the gravy had no flavor. If you don't want salt though, it might be good for you.
