Sunken Meadow State Park - State park in Kings Park - New York State Reference Rte 908K, USA

Great park for family get together. Large fields to set up your BBQ headquarters, then you can walk to the beach and go swimming when you need a dip. The water doesn't have big waves since it's on the bay side. Get there early on weekends and holidays if you want to get a spot under one of their trees. The restrooms are clean enough to wiz, don't forget to wash your hands.

It’s convenient.. many amenities ( bathrooms,outdoor showers) You can walk/Run( on the boardwalk or trails)Bike riding permit only during certain hours Plenty of parking($10.00) Picnic/grill areas. On did I mention the Beach Sunbathers , fishermen/women. Life guards during season. Fast food available It’s an all inclusive!

Love this place easy access and free if you’re golfing. Course’s are nice and carts always available. Pro shop for supplies and concessions stands for food and they have the staff to assist you with your clubs tipping allowed and recommended. Driving range and putting green to warm up.

Lots of birds and shells to see. It's a good place to have an evening walk or perhaps a morning run... So many dead crabs though

This park is amazing. Love the hiking trail, boardwalk, huge parking and picnic area with bbq grills. Perfect for the whole family.

It was a great day for a Motorcycle ride, today was was awesome, weather.it's been awhile since I visited Sunken Meadow Park. The beach was very clean.

Always great to go on summertime! Many families, different cultures unite to soak up the sun. Mostly clean areas, bathrooms are kept clean. Friendly beach as the waves are usually light. Kid friendly. 🏖️

This review is specifically for hiking trails of Sunken Meadow. You could get quite picturesque loop by combining Greenbelt trail from lot 3 to Kings Park Bluff and return back along the shore. Alternatively you could return via unmarked trail close to St Johnland cemetery. I have also tried less popular Wetland trail from lot 2. You can make it a loop by returning via Sunken Meadow road, but it is a busy street…
