Sundancer Grill - American restaurant in Lakeway - 16410 Stewart Rd, USA

This was a super fun and chill place. My only Complainant from getting to the resturant from the boat is how steep the walk is going upward and the rope was not very secure. If your coming to the resturant in a car it’s great but if your coming in a boat be aware and careful. The food was very good and not to expensive either. My crab hush puppy Benedict was fabulous the hush puppy’s were super yummy and the hollandaise sauce was great. My brother enjoyed his Breakfast Burrito and said it was super tasty. My husband enjoyed his lunch and said that the tenders were super flavorful and good. Overall I would recommend coming here for a chill vibe on the lake!

We stopped by Sundancer Grill recently after a sailing for the day on Lake Travis. The restaurant is located at Sail and Ski Yacht Club. But, don't be fooled, this isn't your typical lakeside restaurant! You can get there by car or boat. The restaurant has a courtesy dock located behind the restaurant. If you boat in, be aware of the shallow water! Logan waited on us during our visit, and his service was great ... attentive, but not overbearing! Thanks Logan, well done! We started off with a couple of appetizers, the ceviche and the fried avocado wedges. The ceviche was perfectly prepared, and featured tilapia, mango and citrus, well-balanced, with a little heat provided by diced jalapeno. The ceviche is served with seasoned tortilla chips, very tasty and sturdy enough to hold a pile of ceviche. Delicious... We weren't as thrilled about the fried avocado wedges. They were a bit mushy; I suppose that's to be expected. Lightly battered, seasoned with a little crushed red pepper and sesame seeds. The spicy tomatillo lime ranch served with the wedges was very good. We turned the fresh greens underneath the wedges into a pseudo-side salad. LOL We split an entree, the Catfish Pontchartrain, which was served with garlic smashed potatoes and grilled zucchini. The entree was split for us in the kitchen, no extra charge, which is always nice. The Cajun cream sauce served on the fish was very good, loaded with fresh shrimp. The veggies were good too! We didn't save room for dessert, but those listed on the menu look really good. Next time! I included photos of the entire menu to give y'all an idea of the wide variety of selections offered at Sundancer Grill. Craft salads, burgers, sandwiches, steak and seafood. There is a brunch on Sunday, which looks super tasty! Something on the menu to suit the whole family, and decent prices. Some thoughts about the restaurant itself. It's open air, and it may not even have A/C. But, don't let that scare you off. We were there when the temperature was in mid-90s. They have many fans, and a couple of cooling machines, which I believe use ice. It was very comfortable inside. A full-service bar is available, offering specialty cocktails, as well as a decent beer selection, and a handful of decent wines. Happy hour is Monday through Friday, 4pm to 6pm, with drink discounts, half price wine by the glass, and half appetizers. We'll definitely be back!

The fries were very salty, and the chicken wings were tasteless. There were two dogs in the food area in an enclosed area, and one of the dogs was barking. The shrimp, wings, and fries looked dark in breading. It seemed like the frying oil was old and dirty. The drinks such as Mojito and Piña Colada with rum were served to us in plastic cups. Note: The lake is super dry, and the view is not very good.

Great location ,fantastic staff & good food. The restaurant is small and could use some updating . The views are great, lots of parking & friendly attentive staff . We are happy to return again.

Ashley and Ryland took care of me and made me feel at home. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and the view is breathtaking. Will definitely come back. !

A nice spot for a weekend brunch. It is super casual and no frills. A great location overlooking the lake and boat dock. Good for kids with a nice playground area. Inside and outside dining options are available and there is plenty of parking. We had the chicken fried Benedict, the crab omelet (which had lots of crab), and the stuffed French toast. All were very good. Only down side was their internet was down so it was cash only- might want to call ahead to see if it is fixed if you are low on cash.

Went during a kayaking trip, had access by pier off the lake. Has a nice playground for the kiddos, clean bathrooms, spacious indoor and outdoor seating. They didn’t have the doors open for the seating area to enjoy the breeze but still very nice atmosphere. Waiter was nice and friendly, boyfriend asked for a recommendation on the menu items and he politely answered honestly about serving size which was really appreciated since he was hungry! Food was DELICIOUS!!! REALLY well seasoned, burger and steak cooked to temps and really good serving sizes! You definitely get your moneys worth and we went during happy hour so ordered a frozen margarita. Simple margarita but still good on a hot day for sure! Will definitely return!!

We came in for business and were looking for a place to eat. Someone who used to work for the chamber of commerce recommended this place. She said that it was close to the water/marina. We decided to check it out. We had a small windy drive to this place. The drive was nice and the weather was beautiful that day. I am so glad we took a chance on this place. The restaurant has open air. Any place you sit at you can see the water and boats. If you sit at the bar, your back is facing the water. We had an amazing, delicious appetizer that had some amazing flavors. If you go, make sure you order Thai chicken lettuce wraps. We had some burgers that were good too. Overall, our service (Katherine) server was good. I would recommend this place.
