Sunburst Motel - Motel in Seaside Heights - 1020 Boulevard #2130, USA

Love this place. We always have a great time staying here and cooking dinner in our rooms. The beds and bedding are clean and comfortable and the staff are nice and accommodating. The owners are on site and work the office every day. Enough said. Thank you Sunburst!

Both the father and son who run this motel are super nice and friendly; they go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. The father accommodated an early check in, and the son let us keep our bags in the lobby after we checked out, allowing us to walk around the beach for the day since we had a long wait before our train left. From the outside, it appears like any of the many motels in Seaside Heights, but this one is particularly clean and well kept, including the heated pool. The location was an easy 2 block walk from the Boardwalk. Will return here again.

The motel is great and the location is EVERYTHING! We have a young child and were able to totally walk EVERYWHERE! The rooms may seem outdated but they are so clean and honestly, in much better shape than most motels in the area. Plus a price you cannot beat. 10/10 experience. Only thing to keep in mind is parking is limited so on busy days you may have a problem finding a spot in the lot. (The front desk told us there was an overflow lot, but luckily we didn’t have to use it!) Will definitely be returning before the summer is over.

Room smelled like smoke, terrible smell. Definitely not worth the price,management told us they have no housekeeping services since Covid, when every other hotel has these services. We left after one night due to the smell and we were supposed to be there 3 nights. Management didn’t even apologize or offer an incentive. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Been staying at the Sunburst my whole life and have countless memories there and Seaside heights as a whole. Dealt directly with the owner and his son for reservations and checking in ( as well as the old doggie in the office). The Sunburst motel captures the authentic old school Seaside heights that many people, myself included, treasure deeply. The whole staff is accommodating and caring, always clean and always affordable. They're a very short walk from the beach and boardwalk which is huge for a family with small children. The Sunburst and the Sunburst II are true Seaside heights landmarks and I could not recommend them more for your trip to Seaside heights. Thank you guys!!

When we got there they charged us $338 for one night and the room smelled absolutely horrible; It smelled like people smoke in that room. We were barely in the room, we only had the room for about 3 hours and we couldn’t handle the smell. We asked for our money back but they refused to give us our money back or even half of our money back. This ruined our whole beach trip and we had to go home. 😡😡😡

The place smells like old smoke and mildew. The suite was tiny. We were booked for 3 nights but left after 1 night. No compensation, we forfeited the money, that's how bad it was. It basically screwed up our Jersey Shore visit.

My husband and I stayed at the Sunburt Hotel recently, and it was perfect for us. As others have mentioned, this family-owned business is a charming, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable place to stay in Seaside. It's a quick walk to the boardwalk and beach. We felt our room was very quiet, even on two weekend nights. The heated salt-water pool is modest in size, but a lovely way to cool off if the ocean is not inviting on any given day. We have never before stayed in Seaside, and now we look forward to returning! We will be staying at the Sunburst Motel for sure.
