Sun Valley Resort is an incredible place for a relaxing vacation. There is so much to do, from hikes and walks to bike rides. My favorite activity was sitting in the Adirondack chairs by the pond and taking in all the amazing views. Racing the rubber ducks down the creek was also fun. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, Sun Valley Resort has it all. Highly recommended!
Beautiful location, nice rooms, good service…BUT there are no microwaves in the room, no fridges (that work), and no ice machines available to guests. In this day of modern conveniences and comfort, these are some basics of living. We stayed 3 days and three nights and it was very irritating to call room service every time we wanted ice. We couldn’t keep our leftovers or soda cold and I couldn’t heat water to make oatmeal in the morning.
Had a nice time at the resort. The robes were an awesome and fun accessory for a quick trip to the hot tub which was very relaxing. See video. The food and shops are always fun to walk around and enjoy. The only issue we had during the trip was our rooms getting a bit messed up, the connecting suite / room we had booked ended up being given to someone else and the front desk wasn’t easy to work with in figuring out what happened and seemed quite irritated. After a few trips up to the main lobby and a handful of calls, someone finally came out to help us move into another unit that was different from our original booking but alls well that ends well and we still had a great time once we were settled in.
Absolutely love this ski resort. Excellent staff. In my 50+ years of skiing I have never experienced such friendly, kind service. Everywhere I turned when I asked a question or I was trying to find where I was going I was met with friendly knowlwdgable people. The food at the dining halls was very good Prices were reasonable not too crazy. This is a beautiful resort and a gorgeous setting. The runs are very nice, and it was great to be at a place where I didn't have to wait a long time in line. Such a great thing considering you pay $200 a day to ski. Many of the runs that need to be groomed or groomed, as it had just stormed the night before Can't wait to come back!
This is specific to Sun Valley Inn business stay. The facility was lovely and setting is beautiful. However, I was frustrated due to disrupted sleep at 1AM (drunk guests coming in) and again at 3AM due to other guests being extremely loud (banging corridor doors, flipping of door handles, loud conversations, etc). I am not sure if this is due to a conjoined room or just lack of insulation of muffling devices (doors) but it was extremely off putting. It would not have been bad if it was not for it being extended time from (30-45 minutes in length for disruptions). I am not sure if this is just lack of respect for other guests in facility or actual structural issues that could be addressed. Sadly, worst travel sleep experience I have had.
Lived in Boise for over 25 years and this was my first time at the Sun Valley Inn. The SVI is less assuming than the Lodge if you are looking for luxury yet comfort. I am in love with this village, cute shops and restaurants and walking trails, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains. Staying at the SVI you are an easy five minutes walk to the Lodge where you can enjoy the Spa, Pools and all the other amenities the Lodge has to offer.
Fabulous ladies' getaway! Luxury and so beautiful, with wonderful, friendly staff. Kudos to Maurine at the spa, she gave me the most incredible facial, best I have ever received. The spa shower experience was incredible. Floating in the swimming pool, surrounded snow covered mountains was fabulous. Food (breakfast and dinner)in Gretchens' was perfect and the service was superb. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you!
The main living area, fireplace, master bedroom and kitchen are very beautiful and comfortable but the second bedroom 🛌 is better for children having only two single beds in a small room. The kitchen is new and stocked with pans and plates etc. Everything was clean. The buildings are separated and many of the rooms enter directly to the outside which would be nicer in the summer than in the winter. Fortunately, our room had a small hallway that was heated 😀 I stayed in the small bedroom and it was cold and I could not get the thermostat to change the temperature. The name of the resort implies that it is at Sun valley ski resort , something I should have double checked, but it is on the other side of town. There is more to the resort that I didn’t have time to explore. Over all, this would be a nice room for a small family. I feel that the value is low, considering the cost and the distance from the resort. Also, I’m not so sure if the mechanical issue was a problem or Programmed Overall, I would not discourage anyone from going there since it is a beautiful location.
A wonderful, calming and stimulating experience of elegance for the whole family here! Whether you're entertaining out of town guests or a possible business partner or visiting a family member that you haven't seen in a long time, this place will gi
5 stars for the actual massage. They were amazing. We did a couples massage and I had Ben. He worked on things others haven't! He was so good! The husband had a great experience with his as well! The front desk does need a little work. When I booked
