Sun Outdoors Saco Old Orchard Beach - RV park in Saco - 814 Portland Rd, USA

Excellent experience. The campground was not my first choice when I booked our trip, but it was much nicer than I expected and I was very happy we stayed there. It was not as busy feeling as some of the larger RV resorts nearby. The grounds were immaculate, crews were constantly working to keep the park clean. The office staff folks were super friendly. The pool area was beautiful and the food from the Cafe was good. The rules were just right; kept the place in order without being overbearing. Trolley service was a big plus too. The highway is a little loud, sites closer to the office are quieter than out in the back area. Excellent stay that exceed our expectations and we will definitely return.

The site is nice and clean. Pool, playground, water pad, toilets... Everything was well maintained. We rented a Studio Cabin for a week. The outside amenities were great with BBQ grill, fire pit with another grill, picnic table, multiple chairs and a swing. However, the inside of the cabin was a lot smaller than the pictures from the website. Only two chairs instead of four, even though we booked as a family of four. Smaller kitchen amenities: NO kitchen SINK!!! (we had to clean our dishes in the bath!), no kitchen cabinet, no counter top available to prepare food. No luggage storage. It was also infested by ants, which was clearly a known issue because we saw ants trap, but that was evidently not enough to take care of the problem. The AC was barely working: it was on full blast the entire time we were there and the only thing it did was dehumidifying the studio and leaking water on the floor. The shower only had two temperatures: cold or burning hot. In summary, we were not very happy with our lodging and did not consider it was worth the price. We will not come back.

The good: Friendly staff. I didn’t pay the site lock fee, but got the site I picked; it had a big tree in the middle of it. The guide suggested the site next to it and nicely helped me get backed in and switched my site at the office. The bad: the cost was over $100 a night for a sparsely graveled site that was barely big enough for my teardrop and 4Runner. The “comfort station” was nasty. Cobwebs on the sides of the inside door, dead bugs on the ceiling and the shower barely drained. Worst I’ve seen, ever! It was a waste of money. First time at a Sun Outdoors brand campground and the last; stay elsewhere.

We used the campground as a base camp for a wedding and held our rehearsal dinner there. The staff was very accommodating and everything worked out better than expected. Special shout out to Donna who paid extra attention to us to be sure that things were just right.

This is an awesome campground. It’s clean, the people are great, showers are hot. There is a trolley to Old Orchard Beach if you choose to take it. We took it after dinner to walk around the boardwalk, very convenient. Llbean is a short drive north, some good restaurants in the area or beach pizza. The management is quick to respond if you have an issue. The pool and hot tub are clean and well kept. It’s become one of our go-to places!!

Nous avions le terrain 156 payé 133 US / nuit , il était tellement croche impossible de se mettre au niveau sans que les roues soit dans le vide , ils nous ont fournie des planches après avoir retourné au bureau d’accueil pour se plaindre ( nous avons appelé avant mais pas de réponse) pour nous permettre de s’installer au niveau , nous avons perdu 40 minutes à aisse de s’installer avant . Très déçus au prix que nous avons payé . Le gérant est venus et il devrait régler le problème dans le future . Je dois mentionné que le reste du camping est vraiment propre , les salle de bain sûr très propre .

Very clean campground with large sites the only thing is tje resort fee for 10$ a day and the only thing you have to offer is a really small pool and a water pad for little kids . Sun Rv needs to review the campgrounds they are adding that fee to, plus your check in is 2pm rather then 1pm at most places with no resort fee. Expensive for the location , very busy traffic being behind an industrial park.

Beau camping avec beaucoup de service. Restaurant, piscine, douche (gratuite) et gros conteneur pour vos déchet. La place est très bien aménagé. Très facile à ce repérer sur le site. Le camping est seulement à quelques minutes de old orchard beach et il est tres bien adapter pour les enfants et les familles. Nous avons été accueillis tres rapidement par un agent même si nous sommes arrivés après les heures d’ouverture. Il y a toujours quelqu’un sur place si vous avez un problème. Je recommande pour des vacances camping/plage pour une famille!
