Summer House Santa Monica - New American restaurant in North Bethesda - 11825 Grand Park Ave, USA

The food here is okay. We first got the margarita pizza as an appetizer. We had to return it as it had a pretty strong iodine-type flavor in the dough. The waiter said they use a special dough from California and that others had also returned the pizza because of that same taste. We also ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, which was average. The chicken was bland and the avocado was bitter. The spaghetti was pretty good! The marinara sauce was great and the pasta was al dente. The pasta with meatballs was also tasty. I wish they gave more meat but it’s okay. The poke bowl was very good. It was slightly salty but it was still tasty. They need to be more generous with the tuna, otherwise, great dish. Lastly, we had the chocolate chip cookie which was easily one of the best cookies I’ve had in a long time, it’s a must have. We also had the beach blondie brownie. It had a very doughy texture, almost as if it was raw, but that made it even more tasty. It’s extremely sweet though. The atmosphere is 10/10! Easily one of the best parts of coming here.

There are not enough words to describe Summer house. I’ve been coming here since 2022 and it has not disappointed. I’ve tried almost everything in their menu but my favorite is the rigatoni alla vodka and the spicy salumi bruschetta pizza, so amazing! Desserts are also yummy (the sprinkle cookie with frosting is so good). The servers are also incredible. Overall great service, food and atmosphere. Love it so much! Some foods pictured below.

It's a great place to spend time with both friends and family. The food and drinks were both delicious. Overall, the cuisine was excellent, and the portion sizes were appreciated by everyone in my group of friends. If you live in the Bethesda or Rockville area and are looking for somewhere new to explore, this is a fantastic choice to consider. However, I believe the pricing is a little high.

Great first time experience . The atmosphere was sort of like a California/Florida vibe . Fresh baked goods and awesome food. Server suggested food, would definitely recommend and return

Delicious food and good service. We went toward the end of the brunch around 2 pm and it was still busy but only 30 min wait. Juevos rancheros FTW!

It's a beautiful place to eat and the atmosphere is great. The blueberries that came with our food were not ripe -- tart and sour, and the strawberries had some brown spots. Nobody likes fruit like that. Aside from that, my latte was good and the service was also good.

I had a small family dinner there last night to celebrate my college graduation. (I've been before) and honestly it did not disappoint. The food is top tier, seriously. I had the prime beef burger it is glorious. The ambiance is great, and the entire staff and managers made my special day happier and full of joy. We consistently celebrate our special moments here. Highly recommend. (Also don't deprive yourself grab an amazing cookie for dessert). ♡

Great open ambiance with lots of light and plenty of fresh air circulating. It really says summer and gives you an inner joy imagining the beech is nearby. I stopped in fir a quick lunch and had the stacked turkey & bacon sandwich on toasted bread. I also had the shoestring fries and a summer beverage. It’s was tasty and even though I like thicker fries they were tasty and nicely seasoned. I was tempted by their dessert menu but will try the next time I’m in for a meal. They also have a good brunch menu and I will plan to visit soon. This place is worth trying. I went back for breakfast and had the Mexican hash browns. It was good and the jalapeño gave it a kick so ask them to hold if you don’t like the kick. Went back for breakfast. I really enjoy going out to breakfast and I’ve now eaten here three times for breakfast. I sat at the bar because good bartenders always know how to take care of you…the young lady today was a little distracted with setting up her bar. She was disengaged, I had to ask her twice for hot sauce and ketchup and I’m not sure she asked how the food was. Oh well, hopefully with a little more training she’ll get better. I continue to be disappointed with the service in the dmv & I imagine the owners are struggling to find good servers.
