I had the Cubana sandwich. An abundance of meats ham, turkey, and cheeses. So much the bun could not contain the meats and cheeses.
The Ceasars dressing was a hit. It provides a nice flavor pop for each bite.
Fresh local food! Focaccia made in house. Husband has gluten allergy and they have several offerings other than a salad. I am vegetarian and able to choose between many offerings as well. Could easily veganize if you wanted to too! He had the pasta natural over rice with steamed veg. I had the veggie sandwich, side of tapenade (I really wanted to flavors of the muffuletta), horseradish potato salad and steamed veg. It was delicious. We will definitely be back!
This is an excellent little restaurant. I don't know how to describe how good the food is. It is obvious the chef cares passionately about making sure the food is top notch. The staff are upbeat and efficient. The atmosphere is clean and bright with a retro feel. There is no reason to walk past their door without stopping to eat.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food here. I was hesitant to order the chef special, which was oven roasted duck, at what looked like a pizza place. I decided to double down and get the scallop and shrimp cake appetizers. We also got the shrimp and grits. I was impressed. Everything was delicious. If I'm being super picky, the scallops, duck, and shrimp were slightly overcooked, but only by the slimmest of margins. I also thought the scallop appetizer was overpriced. At $16 we got 4 scallops. While good, it's definitely a little steep.
Overall, I gave this place 5 stars based on the location and unassuming atmosphere that cranked out quality food.
Love Summa Joe's. Food is fresh! Their veggie melt us my favorite sandwich, and their tomato bisque soup us so good! Server's are friendly and their cakes are wonderful! I've had their pizza in the past, also very good! Treat yourself! Yummy!
I’ve been here a few times. Always a great place to find some tummy filling, mouth watering food. I think my wife and I had a Po’ Boy and crab cakes, can’t remember 100%. They were amazing! Great spot in downtown Anderson. You should see the rush when they open for dinner. Totally worth it :)
Service made it five stars. Drinks came quickly and all pizzas were delicious. Coconut cake to go was perfect. Can’t wait to go again.
The haddock was really good, the zucchini and squash casserole was great, and the pizza was outstanding.
