Been here a few times exploring outside campus and absolutely love it! The gift shop has a ton of super cute Blacksburg and VT gifts as well as local artist’s works which are adorable and perfect a perfect gift for a student. Some items are higher in price, but they are locally made and good quality. The ice cream was great, too and they always have fun themed sundaes. We had the Sandman sundae and it was great! Prices for icecream were reasonable and they had a great variety.
Have gone to Sugar Magnolia plenty of times for their ice cream. It is also sooo GOOD! Went this last time to the gift shop. Always loved looking in there. Had just what I was looking for as a birthday gift for my husband. Only downside is I had my baby with me in their stroller and there were only stairs to get up to the gift shop portion. I had completely forgotten about that part. The lady at the desk was so nice and helped with the stroller and the stairs! Everyone even said “Merry Christmas!”I know I will be back again!
The Sugar Magnolia Ice Cream and Gift Shop is a must-visit if you are Blacksburg, VA. The Ice Cream was so good (I had the Mint Chocolate Chip) that I forgot to take a picture before I dove in, thus the half-eaten cone. The Key Lime truffle melted in my mouth like a river of flavor, worth every penny.
The shop is full of curious things: beer flavored pretzels, games, unique greeting cards, paint sets, puzzles, and other trinkets. The staff is friendly (one was a graduate from Virginia Tech) and the place was so inviting that I had a hard time leaving.
Stop in for some Ice Cream and look around.
Cute spot. The ice cream was very good. They had the standard flavors along with signature ones, like banana pudding. Closing time is 10PM which is great👍
We do LOVE a good ice cream shoppe. And baby this is it right here if you're in downtown Blacksburg or the vicinity. It's worth the occasional hassle of finding parking. (But don't park in the post office lot no matter how inviting it may look...they actually do tow. We parked in there recently along with several others and happened to be sitting in the car when the tow truck driver arrived, much to our surprise.) But back to the ice cream...it is definitely worth the extra couple of pounds you'll gain from it. There aren't words. What I love most about this shoppe, aside from the fact that it never fails to satisfy my ice cream cravings, is that it is the cutest little shoppe inside a shoppe. They have great stuff to look at and buy while you're eating your ice cream including Harry Potter and other assorted puzzles, lots of "classy" Blacksburg and VT things including some jewelry, scented candles, unique cards, stuff for the bride, all sorts of different things some of which change every couple of months. We always find stuff we want to buy while we're in there eating our ice cream and rarely do we leave empty handed. It's a definite don't miss while you're in Blacksburg or visiting Virginia Tech. And it's right on Main Street downtown so it's easy to find. Enjoy! And have a scoop for me please.

Beautiful shop with very tasty ice cream & chocolates! The hot chocolate & ice cream combo is a must have during cold months! The staff are always pleasant & the owners go above and beyond on costumer service! I love how as elegant as their shop is they welcome my children to explore and enjoy the shop as well! Great addition to our town.

No atmosphere or facilities better in the state of Virginia for a college football game. Lots of parking around the stadium but reserved for boosters and whatnot for tailgating on game days. Several gates to enter and have installed metal detectors
Boy do I miss this farmer's market! I used to come every Saturday when I lived in Blacksburg, and loved all the products vendors were selling there. It is such a nice market, and even the much bigger ones I have near me now will never compare!
Fun little stop while in the VA tech area. Attic and basement are not accessible to public so you get 2 floors. First floor has time period furnishings. Second floor is mostly workspace for board members but they were holding different history work

Iâve been here twice for movies and both times have had such an amazing experience! The lines are a bit long to get in, but once youâre in itâs a pretty straight shot to the theater. We spent $5 even in cash on a ticket each and then about $10
